, 1 2 ORDINANCE NO. 5495 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 5 OF THE TAXPAYERS' INITIATIVE ORDINANCE TO REDUCE COSTLY URBAN SPRAWL BY PRESERVING RIVERSIDE'S CITRUS AND AGRICULTURAL LANDS, ITS UNIQUE HILLS, ARROYOS, AND VICTORIA AVENUE (MEASURE R) TO FURTHER THE PURPOSES OF THE INITIATIVE ORDINANCE BY PROVIDING FOR THE EXPANSION OF EXISTING LAWFULLY ESTABLISHED USES ONTO CERTAIN ADJACENT PROPERTY HELD IN COMMON OWNERSHIP SINCE NOVEMBER 13, 1979 SUBJECT TO THE GRANTING OF A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT. 3 4 5 6 7 8 WHEREAS the City Council finds and determines that the 9 amendment to Section 5 of the Taxpayers' Initiative Ordinance to 10 Reduce Costly Urban Sprawl by Preserving Riverside's Citrus and 11 Agricultural Lands, Its Unique Hills, Arroyos, and Victoria 12 Avenue (Measure R) as herein provided furthers the purposes of 13 the initiative ordinance by providing for the expansion of 14 existing lawfully established uses onto certain adjacent 15 property held in common ownership since November 13, 1979 16 subject to the granting of a conditional use permit; and 17 WHEREAS the City Council finds and determines that the 18 adoption of this amendment will not have a significant effect on 19 the environment; 20 NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of 21 Riverside does ordain as follows: 22 23 Ordinance to Reduce Costly Urban Sprawl By Preserving Section 1: Section 5 of the Taxpayers' Initiative 2_ Riverside's Citrus and Agricultural Lands, Its Unique Hills, 25 Arroyos, and Victoria Avenue (Measure R) is hereby amended to 26 read as follows: 27 CITY ATTORNEY RIVERSIDE CAL.I FORNI A .
