Adjourned re$llar meeting of the Mayor and City Council of the Clty of Riverside, held <br /> <br />in the Council Chamber, City Hall, on Tuesday, January 5, 19D4, at 9:00 o'clock A.' M. <br /> <br /> Present: Mayor Dales, presiding; Councilmen Backstrand, Bennett, Chamberlain, Goodspeed, <br />O'Neill, Smutz and Voris; City Manager King, City Attorney Ford and City Clerk Waite. <br /> <br /> The pledge of allegiance was given to the flag of the United States of America. <br /> <br /> A prayer was offered by Mayor Dales. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the meeting of December 22, 1953, were read and approved. <br /> <br /> The Mayor presented an oral report to the City Council on ~e activities of his office <br />during the year of 1953. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Chamberlain, seconded by Councilman Bennett, and duly carried, <br />that Resolution No. 6071 of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, accepting a Grant <br />Deed, dated November 4, 19~3, executed by Harold McDonald Davis and Marie June Davis, conveying to the <br />City of Riverside, a municipal corporation, an undivided 7/12 interest in certain real property in the <br />County of Riverside, State of California, described as Lots 9, l0 and ll of Evans Rio Rancho, being more <br /> <br />particularly described in said Deed, be, and the same is hereby adopted. <br /> This motion carried by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes: Councilmen Backstrand, Bennett, Chamberlain, Goodspeed, O'Neill, Smutz and Voris. <br /> Noes: None. <br /> Absent: None. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Backstrand, seconded by Councilman O'Neill, and duly carried, <br />that Resolution No. 6072 of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, accepting a Quit- <br />claim Deed, dated December 31, 1953, executed by WilllamC.
