~Minutes of <br />IDate of Meeting: <br />ITime of Meeting: <br /> <br />CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />January 3, 1967 <br />9:00 A.M. <br /> <br />c~JNCIIMEN <br /> <br />,Roll Call: <br /> <br />IA Prayer for the New Year was read by Councilman Renck. <br />~Yhe Pledge of Allegiance was given no the Flag. <br /> <br />~The Minutes of the Meeting of December 27~ 1966, were <br />l approved as submitted. <br /> <br />,The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Charles <br />I Chandler, representing the Riverside Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />I In view of the recommendation from the Public Works Director <br />I that the Master Plan of Drainage for the Monroe Area, as <br />Iprepared by Koebig and Koebig Inc., be adopted, the City <br />Council authorized the setting of an informal hearing on said <br />report for January 17, 1967~ at 9:00 A.M., in the Council <br />Chamber, City Hall; and the City Clerk was requested to pub- <br />lish notice of said scheduled informal hearing. <br /> <br /> Mr. Harold W. Hears, Jr. appeared before the City Council on <br /> behalf of his request that the City Council make decisions <br /> in connection with the items alleged to be incomplete by the <br /> Public Works Department, in order for the Subdivision Im- <br /> provement Bond submitted in connection with %tact 2693 to be <br /> released, relating to property located on the east side of <br /> Canyon Crest Drive southerly of University Driveo ?ollowing <br /> the presentation of the itemized list by Mr~ Hears, the <br /> Public Works Director commented on the items reouired to be <br /> completed. Following a lengthy discussion, motion was made <br /> that the developer be required to fulfill all the original <br /> requirements of this Subdivision except anything the City <br /> deems unnecessary a5 this time; and further, the sign re- <br /> quirement is to be eliminated. <br /> <br /> Motion was made at this point that there be a division of <br /> the question and that each item be considered separately. <br /> <br />Regarding the construction of approximately 636 square <br />feet of sidewalk on Canyon Crest Drive, the City Council <br />authorized the construction of said sidewalk by the City <br />with an Agreement to be worked out for the Subdivider to <br />pay a reasonable cos~, since this installa~ion was delayedl <br />at the request of the City and costs are now increased <br />over whan they would have been a~ the time he would have <br />normally constructed this portion of sidewalk. <br /> <br />Regarding mhe construction of two drainage boxes and curb <br />on Canyon Crest Drmve, motion was made that the require- <br />ment be waived. <br /> <br /> A motion was made to refer the Dartzcular request for <br /> construction of the drainage boxes and curb to the <br /> Park and Recreation Department for their specific re- <br /> porn and a recommendation to be brought back to the <br /> City Council. <br /> <br />Regarding the street trees, the tree replacement require <br />merit was eliminated and the signs an the entrance <br />indicating "Colony EastTM are to be allowed to remain in <br />place. <br /> <br /> 52-170 <br /> <br />Second '~X <br /> <br />Second ~X <br /> <br /> Motion '~X <br /> <br /> Noes '~× <br /> Ail Ayes ', ~, <br /> <br /> <br />
