September 25, 1973 WARDS <br /> <br />CASE DR-12-734 - CANYON CREST - BA~OCKBUP~ - THE SUBSTATION ~ <br />A communication was presented from the Design Review Board ad-I <br />vising the City Council that, on September 12, 1973, tile Boardt <br />by a vote of 5 ayes to 0 noes, approved as submitted the plans~ <br />of The Substation, lo£ated in the Bannockburn Corm~ercial/ ~ <br />Office Complex on Canyon Crest Drive, north of University Ave-I <br />nue, Case DR-12-734, for a patio to be constructed on the <br />south side of the building; whereupon, it was the ~etermina- <br />tion that this matter not be reviewed by the City £1ouncil. <br /> <br />CASE DR-13-734 - 3225 ~IN - SIGN PL~kNS POR CIVIC CEN%ER MOTEL <br />A communication was presented from the Design Review Board ad-I <br />vising the City Council that, on September 12, 197]., the Board <br />by a vote of 5 ayes to 0 noes, approved the sign plans for the <br />Civic Center >~tel, Case DR-13-734, located at 322] ~in <br />Street, located at the westerly corner of >fain and Second <br />Streets, which provides for an 80-square-foot, double-faced, <br />interior-lighted freestanding sign, subject to certain condi- <br />tions; whereupon, it was the determination that this matter <br />not be reviewed by the City Council. <br /> <br />PURCHASING A~D STORES >IANAGER <br /> <br /> BIDS - SIX MOTORCYCLES FOR POLICE DEP~RTME~ <br />In consideration of tile recommendation from the PurcBasing andl <br />Stores Manager, the bid of Skip ~'ordyce, in the amount of <br />$15,509.84, being the only bid received, was accepted for fur-~ <br />nishing the Police Department with six two-wheeled motorcycles,l <br />~ which price includes trade-ins at a price of $3,225.00; and <br />the Purchasing and Stores Manager was authorized to proceed I <br />with the purchase of this equipment by Purchase Order. <br /> <br />BIDS WATER DISTRIBUTION MAINS IN ~ILINGTON A~D INDIANA AVES. <br />In consideration of the recorlmendation from the Purchasing andl <br />Stores Manager, concurred in by the Public Utilities Director,l <br />the bid of Rogers & Davies, in the amount of $64,579.20, was <br />accepted for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment fori <br />the installation of 6,253 lineal feet of i2-inch A.C.P. Water <br />,Distribution Mains in Arlington Avenue between Crest Avenue <br />i and Tyler Street, and in Indiana Avenue between Fillmore and <br />~ Pierce Streets; all other bids were rejected, and the bonds <br />submitted with said rejected bids were released from further <br />liability; the City Attorney was requested to prepare the <br />necessary contract; and execution of the said contract was au- <br />thorized and directed upon approval by the City Attorney of <br />the performance bonds required in connection therewith. <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS DEP~J~TMENT <br /> <br />COMPLETION - F~EPAIRS IN 6300 BLOCK DE BROCKTON AVENUE <br />In consideration of the recommendation from the Public Works <br />Department, the construction and installation of improvements <br />in the 6300 block of Brockton Avenue, by the E.
