CASE DR-13-734 - 3225 ~IN - SIGN PL~kNS POR CIVIC CEN%ER MOTEL A communication was presented from the Design Review Board ad-I vising the City Council that, on September 12, 197]., the Board by a vote of 5 ayes to 0 noes, approved the sign plans for the Civic Center >~tel, Case DR-13-734, located at 322] ~in Street, located at the westerly corner of >fain and Second Streets, which provides for an 80-square-foot, double-faced, interior-lighted freestanding sign, subject to certain condi- tions; whereupon, it was the determination that this matter not be reviewed by the City Council. PURCHASING A~D STORES >IANAGER BIDS - SIX MOTORCYCLES FOR POLICE DEP~RTME~ In consideration of tile recommendation from the PurcBasing andl Stores Manager, the bid of Skip ~'ordyce, in the amount of $15,509.84, being the only bid received, was accepted for fur-~ nishing the Police Department with six two-wheeled motorcycles,l ~ which price includes trade-ins at a price of $3,225.00; and the Purchasing and Stores Manager was authorized to proceed I with the purchase of this equipment by Purchase Order. BIDS WATER DISTRIBUTION MAINS IN ~ILINGTON A~D INDIANA AVES. In consideration of the recorlmendation from the Purchasing andl Stores Manager, concurred in by the Public Utilities Director,l the bid of Rogers & Davies, in the amount of $64,579.20, was accepted for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment fori the installation of 6,253 lineal feet of i2-inch A.C.P. Water ,Distribution Mains in Arlington Avenue between Crest Avenue i and Tyler Street, and in Indiana Avenue between Fillmore and ~ Pierce Streets; all other bids were rejected, and the bonds submitted with said rejected bids were released from further liability; the City Attorney was requested to prepare the necessary contract; and execution of the said contract was au- thorized and directed upon approval by the City Attorney of the performance bonds required in connection therewith. PUBLIC WORKS DEP~J~TMENT COMPLETION - F~EPAIRS IN 6300 BLOCK DE BROCKTON AVENUE In consideration of the recommendation from the Public Works Department, the construction and installation of improvements in the 6300 block of Brockton Avenue, by the E. L.
