Council Memorandum * Page 1 <br /> <br />People Serving <br />People <br /> <br /> CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />Riverside <br /> <br />HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL DATE: April 27, 2004 <br /> <br /> ITEM NO: 27 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: AWARD OF BID NO. 6138 I-'OR 2 EACH TRUCKS~ CNG 10-YARD DUMP TRUCKS <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br /> <br />Bids have been received for two (2) Dedicated Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Powered 10-Yard Dump Trucks. <br />Council approved replacement of these vehicles in the FY 2003/04 budget. <br /> <br />The Purchasing Division and Fleet Management staff evaluated all bids received and recommends award be <br />made to Carmenita Ford Truck Sales in the amount of $251,619.96 as the bidder submitting the lowest <br />responsive bid. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br /> <br />Funds are budgeted for the purchase of these vehicles in the FY 2003/04 budget in the following amount and <br />account: <br />Two (2) trucks $251,619.96 Public Utilities Water Field Services 6205003920-46210006 Automotive Equipment. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES: <br /> <br />Do not authorize the replacement purchase of lhese vehicles. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br /> <br />That the City Council approve the award of Bid No. 6136 to Carmenita Ford Truck Sales in the amount of <br />$251,619.96, and authorize the Purchasing Services Manager to proceed by purchase orders for this <br />requirement. <br /> <br />27-1 <br /> <br /> <br />
