CITY COUNCIL SUCCESSOR AGENCY MINUTES TUESDAY, JUNE 20, 2023, 1 P.M. City fArts&_Innovation PUBLIC COMMENT IN PERSON/TELEPHONE ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER 3900 MAIN STREET PRESENT: Mayor Lock Dawson, Councilmembers Edwards, Cervantes, Fierro, Conder, Perry, and Hemenway and Councilwoman Plascencia ABSENT: None Mayor Lock Dawson called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. Councilmember Conder gave the Invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE Mike McCarthy spoke regarding climate change, West Campus Upper Plateau Project, and Good Neighbor Guidelines. MAYOR/COUNCILMEMBER COMMUNICATIONS Councilmember Edwards reported on Santa Ana River Homeless Collaborative meeting, sarbshare.org website, and Homeless Resource Fair. Councilmember Cervantes reported on Juneteenth commemorative events, Pura Pachanga Community Festival celebrating the first anniversary of The Cheech Museum, Splish Splash Water Safety event, and Community Climate Action Day. Councilmember Conder reported on Riverside County Transportation Commission General Meeting project funding recommendation list and March Joint Powers Authority funding distribution. Councilwoman Plascencia reported on Park and Neighborhood Safety Specialist (PANSS) at Fairmount Park, Juneteenth commemorative events, first anniversary of The Cheech Museum, office hours, League of California Cities Housing and Economic Development meeting, and thanked staff for working with an unhoused family in finding shelter. Councilmember Perry reported on Arlington Post Office clean up. Councilmember Hemenway reported on La Sierra University graduation. Mayor Lock Dawson reported on the new mural in Casa Blanca community, Beautify Riverside event in Ward 5, and wished Edward Coronado a Happy Birthday. COMMUNICATIONS INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS AND LEGISLATIVE UPDATE There was no update on intergovernmental relations and legislation.
