CITY COUNCIL <br />SUCCESSOR AGENCY <br />MINUTES <br />TUESDAY, JUNE 20, 2023, 1 P.M. <br />City fArts&_Innovation PUBLIC COMMENT IN PERSON/TELEPHONE <br />ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />3900 MAIN STREET <br />PRESENT: Mayor Lock Dawson, Councilmembers Edwards, Cervantes, Fierro, Conder, <br />Perry, and Hemenway and Councilwoman Plascencia <br />ABSENT: None <br />Mayor Lock Dawson called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. <br />Councilmember Conder gave the Invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Mike McCarthy spoke regarding climate change, West Campus Upper Plateau Project, <br />and Good Neighbor Guidelines. <br />MAYOR/COUNCILMEMBER COMMUNICATIONS <br />Councilmember Edwards reported on Santa Ana River Homeless Collaborative meeting, <br />sarbshare.org website, and Homeless Resource Fair. Councilmember Cervantes reported <br />on Juneteenth commemorative events, Pura Pachanga Community Festival celebrating <br />the first anniversary of The Cheech Museum, Splish Splash Water Safety event, and <br />Community Climate Action Day. Councilmember Conder reported on Riverside County <br />Transportation Commission General Meeting project funding recommendation list and <br />March Joint Powers Authority funding distribution. Councilwoman Plascencia reported on <br />Park and Neighborhood Safety Specialist (PANSS) at Fairmount Park, Juneteenth <br />commemorative events, first anniversary of The Cheech Museum, office hours, League <br />of California Cities Housing and Economic Development meeting, and thanked staff for <br />working with an unhoused family in finding shelter. Councilmember Perry reported on <br />Arlington Post Office clean up. Councilmember Hemenway reported on La Sierra <br />University graduation. Mayor Lock Dawson reported on the new mural in Casa Blanca <br />community, Beautify Riverside event in Ward 5, and wished Edward Coronado a Happy <br />Birthday. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS AND LEGISLATIVE UPDATE <br />There was no update on intergovernmental relations and legislation. <br />
