HOMELESS SOLUTIONS UPDATE There was no update on homeless solutions. SUSTAINABILITY UPDATE There was no update on sustainability. LEGAL UPDATE There was no legal update. COUNCILMEMBERS DECLARATION OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST Councilmember Edwards recused herself from the Closed Session item regarding the lease of property on the corner of Fifth and Orange Streets, commonly known as Lot 33/Convention Center citing financial conflict. DISCUSSION CALENDAR REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL 2203 - SPONSORSHIP ASSET INVENTORY, VALUATION, NAMING RIGHTS Following discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Fierro and seconded by Councilmember Cervantes to approve the Economic Development, Placemaking, Branding, and Marketing Committee recommendation to (1) award Request for Proposal 2203 for Sponsorship Asset Inventory, Valuation, Naming Rights and Sales to the Superlative Group, Inc., for a consultant retainer of $347,625 and 15 percent commission on potential sales; (2) with at least five affirmative votes, authorized a supplemental appropriation in the amount of $347,625 in the General fund, City Manager - Administration, Professional Services Account; and (3) authorized the City Manager, or designee, to execute the Professional Consultant Services Agreement, including execution of the optional extension for one twelve-month period and making minor and non -substantive changes as necessary. The motion carried with Councilmembers Edwards, Cervantes, Fierro, Conder, and Hemenway and Councilwoman Plascencia voting aye, and Councilmember Perry voting no. 108-275
