City ofArts 8Z Innovation <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MINUTES <br />TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2023, 1 P.M. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT IN PERSON/TELEPHONE <br />ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />3900 MAIN STREET <br />SUSTAINABILITY UPDATE <br />There was no update on sustainability. <br />HEALTH, SAFETY, AND SECURITY UPDATES <br />There was no update on health, safety, and security. <br />LEGAL UPDATE <br />There was no legal update. <br />COUNCILMEMBERS DECLARATION OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST <br />There was no conflict of interest declared at this time. <br />CEREMONIAL PRESENTATION <br />NATIONAL MENTORING MONTH <br />Mayor Lock Dawson presented a proclamation to Big Brothers, Big Sisters of the Inland <br />Empire Chief External Affairs Jennifer O'Farrell recognizing National Mentoring Month. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />It was moved by Councilmember Hemenway and seconded by Councilmember Perry <br />to approve the Consent Calendar as presented affirming the actions appropriate to <br />each item. The motion carried with Councilmember Edwards absent. <br />BOARD AND COMMISSION APPOINTMENT AND RESIGNATION <br />The Mayor and City Council (1) appointed Brian C. Smith to the Resident Ward 5 seat on <br />the Budget Engagement Commission for a term through March 1, 2027; and <br />(2) accepted the resignation of Deborah A. Martin from the Transportation Board <br />Citywide seat, effective March 2, 2023. <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF PLANNING AND RESEARCH/ CALIFORNIA VOLUNTEERS - <br />CONNECTING NEIGHBORS TO NEIGHBORS PROGRAM - COMMUNITY BUILDING AND <br />SUSTAINABILITY EFFORTS IN ARLANZA NEIGHBORHOOD - SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - <br />RESOLUTION <br />The City Council (1) authorized a Resolution to apply for, and the acceptance of up to <br />$200,000 in Grant funds (or the actual grant award amount), and authorization to enter <br />into a Standard Agreement with the State of California Office of Planning and <br />108-231 <br />
