CITY COUNCIL <br />SUCCESSOR AGENCY <br />MINUTES <br />TUESDAY, JANUARY 10, 2023,3 P.M. <br />City �,fArts&.Innovation PUBLIC COMMENT IN PERSON/TELEPHONE <br />ART PICK COUNCIL CHAMBER <br />3900 MAIN STREET <br />PRESENT: Mayor Lock Dawson, Councilmembers Edwards, Cervantes, Fierro, Conder, <br />Perry, and Hemenway and Councilwoman Plascencia <br />ABSENT: None <br />Mayor Lock Dawson called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. <br />Pastor Wallace of Changed Church gave the Invocation. <br />Councilmember Hemenway led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Patrick Maloney spoke regarding theft in Downtown; expressed condolences to the <br />family of Deputy Isaiah Cordero and thanked the Fire and Police Departments. Jerry <br />Shearer spoke regarding March Joint Power Authority Draft Environmental Impact Report. <br />Scott Andrews wished everyone a Happy New Year and welcomed the new City <br />Manager. <br />CEREMONIAL PRESENTATION <br />MAYOR PRO TEM APPOINTMENT <br />Mayor Lock Dawson presented a plaque to Councilmember Fierro for his dedicated <br />service as Mayor Pro Tem from July through December 2022. <br />Following discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Edwards and Councilmember <br />Fierro to appoint Councilmember Cervantes as Mayor Pro Tem for January through June <br />2023. The motion carried unanimously. <br />MAYO R/COUNCILMEMBER COMMUNICATIONS <br />Councilmember Edwards wished everyone a Happy New Year and reported on the <br />Mayor's 1st Business Community Coffee, Eden Housing meeting regarding Mulberry <br />Gardens Project, Neighbors of the Wood Streets meeting, Martin Luther King, Jr., Walk-a- <br />Thon, Downtown Neighborhood Alliance meeting, Downtown parking rates meeting, <br />and Continuum of Care report on supportive housing trends. Councilmember Cervantes <br />reported on Lincoln Park neighborhood meeting, University Neighborhood meeting, <br />
