Supplemental Appropriation — Riverside Municipal Airport. • Page 2 <br />The purchase of an emergency generator for the Riverside Municipal Airport contributes to the <br />Strategic Priority No. 2 Community Well -Being by ensuring safe and inclusive neighborhoods <br />where everyone can thrive and Goal No. 2.6 — strengthen community preparedness for <br />emergencies to ensure effective response and recovery. <br />The Airport operations aligns with the Cross -Cutting Threads of the City's Strategic Plan as <br />described below: <br />1. Community Trust — The Airport provides access to the entire community to experience <br />aviation and flight training. Additionally, the facility provides a business and recreational <br />transport center and emergency services support facility for the City of Riverside and <br />surrounding communities. <br />2. Equity — The Riverside Municipal Airport serves the entire community of the City of Riverside. <br />The Airport's multiple businesses provide equal access and opportunities for the City's diverse <br />community. <br />3. Fiscal Responsibility - Funds for all Airport improvements are generated from the Airport's <br />operations and will not impact the City of Riverside's general fund. <br />4. Innovation - The Airport provides a unique opportunity for education and participating in <br />aviation activities. <br />5. Sustainability and Resiliency — Ensuring the airport is prepared for emergency operations <br />through the use of an emergency generator, assists in meeting community and pilot needs <br />allowing the airport to be resilient during power outages or emergency situations. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />The total fiscal impact of this action is $70,000 to be appropriated from Riverside Municipal Airport <br />(Airport) Enterprise Fund reserves. Upon Council approval, an appropriation in the Riverside <br />Municipal Airport Fund, Airport Capital Projects, Generator/Windsock/Signage project <br />expenditure account no. 9270400-462200 will be recorded.
