Andrade <br />Chair Lech called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />There were no comments from the audience. <br />WORKSHOP <br />RIVERSIDE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION PRESENTATION <br />David Lewis, RCTC, gave a presentation, starting with the items brought up at the last <br />meeting. He announced that the EIR will be released December 3, 2021. The comment <br />period is being extended from 45 days to 60 days. The end of the comment period will <br />be February 3, 2022. He announced that there will be two public hearings; the first one <br />will be a virtual hearing on December 15 and the second will be in person on December <br />16, 2021. <br />Following discussion, the Board inquired if Mr. Lewis would be willing to attend the CHB <br />Meeting on January 19, 2022 to respond to the Board's questions and comments. <br />Board member Tobin asked what the next step would be to facilitate this Board providing <br />comments to the City Council for the record. <br />Ms. Kopaskie-Brown stated that staff will be conducting a technical review of the EIR. She <br />will check to see what the process is for this Board to send out a letter on behalf of the <br />Cultural Heritage Board. This item can be brought to the Board at the December meeting <br />with an update for the Board regarding submitting their own comment letter. Staff will <br />check with the City Clerk's Office if it was permissible for staff to compile comments and <br />forward to the chair for his signature. <br />APPROVED Cultural Heritage Board Minutes - November 17, 2021 1 <br />
