City ofArts 8Z Innovation <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />MINUTES <br />MONDAY, JANUARY 31, 2022,8:00 A.M. <br />VIRTUAL MEETING <br />TELEPHONE PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Following discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Perry and seconded by Mayor <br />Lock Dawson to appoint Annette Demont to the Ward 6 seat on the Board of Ethics for <br />the term ending March 1, 2026. The motion carried unanimously. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES WARD 3 <br />The Mayor and City Council interviewed Robert Righter and Nipunjeet S. Gujral for the <br />Ward 3 seat on the Board of Public Utilities for the term ending March 1, 2026. <br />Following discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Fierro and seconded by <br />Councilmember Edwards to appoint Nipunjeet S. Gujral to the Ward 3 seat on the Board <br />of Public Utilities for the term ending March 1, 2026. The motion carried unanimously. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION WARD 6 SEAT <br />The Mayor and City Council interviewed Johnny Wilder for the Ward 6 seat on the <br />Planning Commission for the term ending March 1, 2023. <br />Following discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Perry and seconded by <br />Councilmember Conder to appoint Johnny Wilder to the Ward 6 seat on the Planning <br />Commission for the term ending March 1, 2023. The motion carried unanimously. <br />The Mayor and City Council recessed at 11:40 a.m. and reconvened at 11:47 a.m. with <br />Mayor Lock Dawson presiding and all Councilmembers present. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITYWIDE SEAT <br />The Mayor and City Council interviewed Launa K. Wilson, Rico A. Alderette, Lorraine <br />Mooney, and Sean Mill for the Citywide seat on the Planning Commission for the term <br />ending March 1, 2026. <br />Following discussion, it was moved by Mayor Lock Dawson and seconded by <br />Councilmember Perry to appoint Lorraine Mooney to the Citywide seat on the Planning <br />Commission for the term ending March 1, 2026. <br />Following further discussion, a substitute motion was made by Councilwoman Plascencia <br />and seconded by Councilmember Cervantes to appoint Launa K. Wilson to the Citywide <br />seat on the Planning Commission for the term ending March 1, 2026. The motion failed <br />with Councilmember Cervantes and Councilwoman Plascencia voting aye, and <br />107-210 <br />
