City ofArts 8Z Innovation <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />MINUTES <br />MONDAY, JANUARY 31, 2022,8:00 A.M. <br />VIRTUAL MEETING <br />TELEPHONE PUBLIC COMMENT <br />PRESENT: Mayor Lock Dawson and Councilmembers Edwards, Cervantes, Fierro, <br />Conder, Perry, and Hemenway and Councilwoman Plascencia <br />ABSENT: None <br />Mayor Lock Dawson called the meeting to order at 8:03 a.m. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Malissa McKeith spoke regarding the Sustainability Workshop, Planning Commission and <br />Board of Public Utilities appointments, and providing training for commissioners. Rebecca <br />Goldware, Jalani Bakari, and Janice Rooths spoke regarding Launa K. Wilson for the <br />Citywide Planning Commission seat. <br />INTERVIEWS <br />BOARD OF ETHICS WARDS 1 <br />The Mayor and City Council interviewed Beth M. Hill -Skinner and Morgan R. De Herrera <br />for the Ward 1 seat on the Board of Ethics for the terms ending March 1, 2026. <br />Following discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Edwards and seconded by <br />Councilwoman Plascencia to appoint Morgan R. De Herrera to the Ward 1 seat on the <br />Board of Ethics for the term ending March 1, 2026. The motion carried unanimously. <br />BOARD OF ETHICS WARD 3 <br />The Mayor and City Council interviewed Julian L. Turner, Kimberly Foreman, Nipunjeet S. <br />Gujral, James L. Buysse, and Kelechi E. Azubuike for the Ward 3 seat on the Board of Ethics <br />for the terms ending March 1, 2026. <br />Following discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Fierro and seconded by <br />Councilwoman Plascencia to appoint Kimberly Foreman to the Ward 3 seat on the Board <br />of Ethics for the term ending March 1, 2026. The motion carried unanimously. <br />BOARD OF ETHICS WARD 6 <br />The Mayor and City Council interviewed Robert Gaertner, Madai Randal, and Annette <br />Demont for the Ward 6 seat on the Board of Ethics for the terms ending March 1, 2026. <br />107-209 <br />
