1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 1 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE <br />3900 MAIN STREET <br />Rivmsm, CA 92522 <br />(951) 826-5567 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY PROCLAIMED that a Local Emergency exists throughout the <br />City of Riverside, commencing on or about 8:00 p.m. of the 31St day of May 2020, resulting from the civil <br />unrest arising out of the protests over the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota. <br />IT IS FURTHER PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED that during the existence of said Local <br />Emergency, the powers, functions and duties of the Director of Emergency Services of this City shall be those <br />prescribed by state law and the charter, ordinances, resolutions, and approved plan of the City of Riverside in <br />order to mitigate the effects of said Local Emergency. <br />IT IS FURTHER PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED that all City officials and employees cooperate <br />and coordinate efforts with officials and employees of other political subdivisions and officials and employees <br />of the county, state and federal government in bringing the present condition of the Local Emergency under <br />control. <br />IT IS FURTHER PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED that said Local Emergency shall continue to <br />exist for the next seven (7) days unless ratified by the Riverside City Council prior to the end of said seventh <br />(71) day.
