PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD <br />Tom Donahue mentioned Family Services Association has no meal contract in Riverside. He <br />stated that City of Riverside needs to consider being part of the AARP Livable Community. <br />Resident, Ryan Hooper was seeking information if senior meals were meeting the "MyPlate" <br />standard for County Nutrition Programs. <br />Vice -Chair Broach informed him that we are City and not County. <br />COMMISSIONER COMMUNICATIONS <br />2. BRIEF REPORTS ON CONFERENCES, SEMINARS, MEETING ATTENDED BY <br />COMMISSION ON AGING MEMBERS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS OF UPCOMING <br />EVENTS <br />Commissioner Van Doren mentioned Councilman Mike Gardner is no longer in the race for <br />Ward 1. <br />Commissioner Van Gundy mentioned about all the new senior programs offered at Orange <br />Terrace Community Center and spoke briefly about the UCR Initiative for seniors and that she <br />recently wrote to the Dean of University of California Riverside (UCR). <br />Page 6 <br />
