RIVERSIDE COUNTY CENTENNIAL PARADE/STATUS REPORT <br />Attending: Terri Thompson, John Tavaglione, Laura Pearson, <br />Deen Teer, Barbara Sheldon, Mayor Frizzel <br />a. Status of Float Entry - Barbara Sheldon <br />Barbara Sheldon reported that the float would be lent for the <br />Centennial Parade; this is the first time it's been done. <br />City to provide the insurance fee of $500.00, and <br />transportation cost of $4000; driver will be provided at no <br />charge. <br />It will be used to advertise the 1994 Annual Orange Blossom <br />Festival. <br />The parent navel orange tree entry could precede the float, <br />with Mr. and Mrs. Tibbet riding in a carriage, perhaps in <br />period clothing. <br />b. Status of Non -Motorized Transportation - Laura Pearson <br />Four Council Members can ride inside the Wells Fargo <br />Stagecoach, which can carry 8 people in total. <br />18" x 24" signs can be made by the Public Works Department and <br />mounted on each side with the Council Members' names. <br />Three more Council Members and the Mayor can be accommodated <br />in other carriages. <br />c. Status of Costumes - Deen Teer <br />Deen Teer reported on availability and prices of appropriate <br />period costumes from two relatively local firms. <br />ACTION: <br />Provide information regarding the two firms to all Council <br />Members. <br />Include costs, hours of business, and directions to location. <br />
