Scott Watson, <br />Assistant Planner, presented the staff report. He announced that an <br />ecomment was received in opposition and a copy was distributed to the <br />Board today. Nick Tavaglione, representing the applicant, stated he would <br />be available for questions. There were no comments from the audience. <br />Following discussion the Cultural Heritage Board recommended that the <br />City Council: 1. Determine that Planning Case P17 -0899 is exempt from <br />the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Sections <br />15303 (New Construction of Small Structures) and 15332 (In -fill <br />development) of the CEQA Guidelines; and 2. Planning Case P17 -0899, <br />based on and subject to the findings and recommended conditions of <br />approval, thereby issuing a Certificate of Appropriateness for the project. <br />RIVERSIDE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM DESIGN TEAM VOLUNTEERS <br />— Cultural Heritage Board Participation and Possible Conflict of Interest <br />Mr. Beaumon noted that the Board had inquired as to any possible conflict <br />of interest, should the board members serve on the Design Team for the <br />Metropolitan Museum. He stated that there is no conflict of interest or <br />incompatibility of office should a member of the Cultural Heritage Board <br />serve on the Design Team for the museum.
