It was moved by Councilman Strickler, seconded by Councilman Brown, that the report of the tellers, as above, be accepted, and that the said three proposi- tions relating to the Depreciation Sinking Fund of the Electric and Plater Depart- ments be declared duly carried. The motion carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Strickler, Brown, Morse and Zimmerman. Noes: None. Absent: Councilmen Hackney and Stalder. The Layor reported the result of a conference held with the Board of Super- visors of Riverside County with reference td co-opera.ti'on with the city in the rpat- ter of providing for the isolation of persons afflicted with contagious diseases, stating that it was the sense of that body that proposed isolation hospital should be erected and maintained on lands belonging to the county and adjacent to the County Hospital. Upon motion of Councilmen Strickler, seconded by Councilman Brown, Street Department Voucher No. 8290, in favor of Mrs. C. C. Chalmers for $150, being inter- est on $5000 mortgage note assumed by the'city in the purchase of the N.W. J of Block 9, Range 9, said voucher bearing the approval of the Finance Committee, was 0 �11
