I WHEREAS the proposed increases in the deposits, fees 2 and charges for various customer services are based on 3 studies of the actual costs to the Utilities of providing the 4 services and do not exceed the reasonable costs of providing 5 them; and 6 WHEREAS these studies were made available for public 7 inspection and review fourteen (1.4) days prior to the public 8 hearing which the Board conducted on the matter of adopting 9 the proposed revisions, and notice of that hearing was given 10 by publications in The Press -Enterprise on the fourth and 11 twelfth days of November, 1994; and 12 WHEREAS the Board's public hearing to receive and 13 consider all oral and written presentations by staff and the 14 public on the matter of adopting the proposed revisions was 15 commenced during the Board's regularly scheduled meeting on 16 November 18, 1994 and, following presentations, was continued 17 to the Board's regularly scheduled meeting on December 16, 18 1994 for final public comments, and was thereafter closed; 19 and 20 WHEREAS the Board desires to adopt the revisions; 21 NOW, WHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public 22 Utilities of the City of Riverside as follows: 23 Section 1: The foregoing recitals are true and 24 correct and are adopted and incorporated herein by reference 25 as findings of fact of the Board. 26 Section 2: On the basis of the studies and the other 27 evidence submitted by the Department during the Board's City Attorney's Mee 3900 Main Street Riverside, CA 92512 (909) 782-5567 -2- F ANPDATA\AES\94253801.RS
