City Attorney's Ot ce <br />3900 Main Street <br />Riverside, CA 92522 <br />(909)782-5567 <br />F:\WPDATA\AES\94253801.RS <br />1 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-2 <br />2 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES <br />r' <br />OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE (1) ADOPTING REVISIONS <br />3 <br />TO THE ELECTRIC UTILITY AND WATER UTILITY RULES, <br />(2) INCREASING CERTAIN (NON -DEVELOPER) DEPOSITS, <br />{ <br />4 <br />FEES AND CHARGES FOR CUSTOMER SERVICES, (3) MAKING <br />FINDINGS OF FACT AND (4) RECOMMENDING APPROVAL <br />5 <br />THEREOF BY THE CITY COUNCIL. <br />6 <br />WHEREAS the staff of the Department of Public <br />7 <br />Utilities of the City of Riverside has completed reviews of <br />8 <br />the Rules of the City's Electric and Water Utilities and has <br />9 <br />submitted proposed revisions thereof for action by the Board <br />10 <br />of Public Utilities and the City Council; and <br />11 <br />WHEREAS the proposed revisions primarily address such <br />12 <br />customer service matters as establishing and reestablishing <br />13 <br />credit worthiness, paying deposits, turn -on charges and <br />14 <br />service billings, testing service meters, adjusting billings, <br />15 <br />discontinuing and restoring service and appealing disputed <br />16 <br />billings, and, in addition, make certain changes in the Water <br />17 <br />Utility Rule governing the water distribution system; and <br />18 <br />WHEREAS the proposed revisions include imposition of <br />19 <br />new or increased deposits, fees or charges for various <br />20 <br />services rendered to customers of the Utilities in connection <br />21 <br />with their applications for utility service, the maintenance <br />22 <br />of their service and the restoration of their service <br />23 <br />following disconnection for non-payment of delinquent <br />24 <br />billings, but do not include establishing, increasing or <br />25 <br />imposing any fees or charges which are subject to Chapters 5, <br />26 <br />6 or 7 of Division 1 of Title 7 of the California Government <br />27 <br />Code (commencing at Section 66000); and <br />City Attorney's Ot ce <br />3900 Main Street <br />Riverside, CA 92522 <br />(909)782-5567 <br />F:\WPDATA\AES\94253801.RS <br />
