1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />1a <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />WHEREAS the staff and management of the Public <br />Utilities Department have prepared and recommended a rate <br />design, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated <br />herein by reference as Exhibit A, which will result in an <br />overall rate increase of 1.4% on a fair and equitable basis <br />for all rate classes; and <br />WHEREAS this Board concurs with the Department's <br />design and concludes that the recommended increased rates set <br />forth in Exhibit A should be established; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of <br />Public Utilities of the City of Riverside, California, as <br />I follows: <br />City Attorney's Office <br />3900 Main Street <br />Riverside, CA 92522 <br />(909) 782-5567 <br />Section 1: The foregoing recitals are true and <br />correct and are adopted and incorporated herein by reference <br />as findings of fact of this Board. <br />Section 2: On the basis of the study and the other <br />evidence submitted by the Department during this Board's <br />public hearing on June 23 and July 2, 1993 and public <br />meetings on July 16 and 21, 1993, this Board hereby finds and <br />determines that the increased rates set forth in Exhibit A <br />hereof are for the purpose of obtaining funds necessary to <br />maintain those intracity transfers which are authorized by <br />the City Charter, and are not for the purpose of obtaining <br />funds for capital projects for expansion of the Electric <br />Utility system, and this Board further finds and determines <br />that the rate increases are exempt from the provisions of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (California Public <br />-2-- <br />F;\WPDATA\RES\93I34707.RS <br />
