I RESOLUTION NO. 92-2 <br />2 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES <br />OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE (1) ADOPTING REVISIONS <br />3 OF THE WATER RULES AND RATE SCHEDULES OF THE <br />PUBLIC UTILITIES DEPARTMENT, INCLUDING INCREASES <br />4 OF FEES AND CHARGES FOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS, <br />(2) MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND (3) RECOMMENDING <br />5 CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL THEREOF. <br />6 WHEREAS the Water Utility staff of the City's Department <br />7 of Public Utilities has completed the annual review of the <br />8 Department's Water Rules and Rate Schedules required by General <br />g Provision C of the Rules and has submitted proposed revisions <br />10 thereof for action by the Board of Public Utilities and the City <br />11 Council of the City of Riverside; and <br />12 WHEREAS the proposed revisions include increases in the <br />13 charges for various services rendered to utility customers and <br />14 increases in the fees and charges for integrating development <br />15 projects into the utility system; and <br />16 WHEREAS the proposed increases in the fees and charges <br />17 for development projects, consisting of Water Service Connection <br />18 Charges, Backup Facility Capacity Charges, Elevation Fees and <br />19 Distribution System Fees (all of which are defined and explained <br />20 within the Water Rules and Rate Schedules), are subject to the <br />21 provisions of California Government Code Sections 66000 through <br />22 66007 and 66013 through 66024; and <br />23 WHEREAS studies have been conducted of the impacts of <br />24 contemplated future development and redevelopment on the City <br />25 Water Utility's existing water services and facilities in the <br />26 City's Water Service Area along with an analysis of new, <br />�7 improved or expanded water utility facilities and improvements <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br />RIVERSIDE <br />CALIFORNIA <br />
