Councilmember Burnard reported on the Christian Athletic League <br />opening ceremonies, homework help at La Sierra Library, and the Ride with <br />the Mayor event. Councilmember Davis reported on ASA Softball Opening <br />Day, Villegas Park St. Patrick's Day festivities, and the League of California <br />Cities Riverside County Division meeting. Councilmember Soubirous <br />reported on the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce, Americans with <br />Disabilities Act compliance training, and the Community Services and Youth <br />Committee discussion on removal of park benches at three City parks. <br />Councilmember Melendrez reported on the season opening of the City's <br />semi -pro soccer team and the Women of Distinction event. <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />Mayor Pro Tem Gardner called upon Riverside Arts Council Executive <br />Director Patrick Brien who recognized California Baptist University Theater <br />Department as Arts Honoree of the Month. <br />RIVERSIDE PRIDE SUCCESS REPORT <br />Councilmember MacArthur reported on GrowRiverside in Ward 5. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Phyllis Purcell spoke regarding the U.S. Constitution clause prohibiting the <br />President from taking foreign money. Marilyn Whitney spoke regarding the <br />Agricultural Park and Hole Lake. Scott Berndt spoke regarding the <br />GrowRiverside conference. Theresa Newham spoke regarding the Parks <br />Strategic Plan and Hole Lake. Gurumantra Khalsa spoke regarding an <br />incubator farm, the Agrihood Project, a food hub and truck delivery program, <br />102-246 <br />
