RECOMMENDATIONS: That the City Council: 1. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to submit the Alcoholic Beverage Control Grant Assistance Program grant application, accept the assurances and certifications, and make non - substantive changes in documents associated with the application; 2. Upon grant award, authorize an increase in estimated revenues in the amount of $50,000 and appropriate expenditures in the same amount into a project account to be established by Finance for the State of California, Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control grant program; and 3. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to make non - substantive changes and execute all grant documents. BACKGROUND: The mission of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) is to administer the provisions of the ABC Act in a manner that fosters and protects the health, safety, welfare, and the economic well -being of the people of the State.
