CITY OF RIVERSIDE CITY COUNCIL Minutes of: Date of Meeting: Time of Meeting: Place of Meeting: Regular Meeting of the City Council November 16, 1999 9 a.m. Council Chamber, City Hall Roll Call: Mayor Loveridge called the City Council meeting to order at 9 a.m. The Invocation was given by Councilmember Clifford. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. PRESENTATIONS Mayor Loveridge presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Police Officer Matthew Lackey, Public Safety Officer for the month of November 1999. Mayor Loveridge presented a Proclamation to Earl Lippold, Youth Appreciation Chairperson for the Riverside Optimist Club, proclaiming the week of November 8-14, 1999, as Youth Appreciation Week. Seventeen local area high school students were recognized by the Riverside Optimist Club for their community service. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meetings of November 9, 1999, were approved as presented. CITY MANAGER CITY COUNCIL HOLIDAY MEETING SCHEDULE The City Council requested the City Clerk to (1) adjourn the meeting of December 28, 1999, for lack of a quorum due to the holidays; and (2) make the necessary adjustments in the public hearing schedule. HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE CONTRIBUTION RATES FOR CITY EMPLOYEE UNITS - SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - RESOLUTION The City Council (1) adopted a resolution which will increase the maximum contribution rates for each of the City employee units by $40 per month; and (2) appropriated funds to the necessary accounts as outlined in the written staff report; whereupon, Resolution No. 19593 of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, Amending Resolution No. 19391 Establishing the Fringe Benefits for City Employees, By Amending Section 17, Health Insurance, to Increase the Maximum Contribution for Health Care Coverage for Each Employee Unit by Forty Dollars ($40.00) Per Month, was presented and adopted.
