CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />September 28, 1999 <br /> <br />Buren Boulevard in Zone MP and remove same from Zones C-3-X-20. In <br />conjunction with this case, the City Council also considered the findings that the <br />proposed project will not have a significant effect on the environment and that a <br />Negative Declaration be adopted. Charles Schultz representing the property owner <br />spoke regarding the project. No other protests, written or oral, were presented. <br />Following discussion, the public hearing was officially closed. The City Council <br />conditionally approved Zoning Case RZ-004-990 contingent upon the lots being <br />consolidated within 30 days; determined the fees for the lot line adjustment would be <br />appropriated from Economic Development Reserve Account 7235000-450100; <br />adopted the staff report and environmental assessment as findings; upheld the <br />Planning Commission's determination that the proposed case would not have a <br />significant effect on the environment and concurred in the adoption of a Negative <br />Declaration; found there is no evidence that the proposed project will have any <br />potential for adverse effect on wildlife resources and the impacts of the project are <br />found to be de minimis pursuant to Section 711.4 of the Fish and Game Code; and <br />continued the hearing to 3 p.m. on October 26, 1999 for final approval of Zoning <br />Case RZ-004-990. <br /> <br />RECESS <br />The City Council recessed at 3:45 p.m. and reconvened at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by Councilmember Thompson. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meeting of September 21, 1999, were approved as presented. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br />Mayor Loveridge recognized this year's recipients of the Neighborhood Pride <br />Awards. <br /> <br />CELEBRATING RIVERSIDE <br />Mayor Loveridge recognized Councilmember Defenbaugh who requested Deputy <br />Police Chief Mike Smith and Officer John Start to recognize the heroic efforts of 12- <br />year-old Chandra Maffey, Chantell Hicks, Tammie Escondera, Christa Myers, and <br />Andre Jones in the August 29, 1999, drowning rescue of six-year-old Allen Brown. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION CALENDAR <br /> <br />ENHANCE INDUSTRIES DONATION TO RED PARK - SUPPL.
