Motion :X[ <br /> Second [X~ <br /> All Ayes <br /> <br /> ~The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Joe Pagan representing ~he <br /> ,Riverside Chamber of Commerce, Don Pulsifer representing ~he Arlington Chamber of <br /> ,Commerce and Tom Clemens representing the La Sierra Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> i The following items were approved by one motion effirming the actione appropriate to <br /> ~hose items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for <br /> consideration with the exception of Tract Map 8123 (Revised), the North Brawley Geo- <br /> thermal Project, the Riverside County Arts Plan, and =he State Urban Lakes Program, <br /> all of which were removed to the Discussion Calendar; with modifications being made to <br /> the reports regarding sidewalk construction at various locations for 1980-81, and Motion :X: <br /> Hawarden Drive closure; and with Councilman Bowers voting "no" on introduction of the Second X~ <br /> ordinance relative to item price marking. All Ayes <br /> <br /> CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br /> ZONING CASE C-12-623 (REVISED) - GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH - NLY. CORNER ADAMS AND <br /> CALIFORNIA <br /> A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, <br /> :on February 19,198i, the Commission, by a vote of 9 ayes to 0 noes, approved <br /> subject to conditions the proposed revised conditional use permit of Grace <br /> ~Baptist Church, Zoning Case C-12-623 (Revised), to (1) legalize an existing day care <br /> ~center and private elementary school for kindergarten and grades 1 through 3, (2) ex- <br /> [pand the ares of the church site from approximately 3.26 to 5.25 acres to include an <br /> adjacent percel, and (3) provide additional play area and classroom facilities for the <br /> iexpansion of the private elementary school through grade 6, on property situated on the <br /> northerly corner of Adams Street and California Avenue, being in =he 8200 block of <br /> California Avenue and the 4200 block of Adams Street, in Zone R-1-65; and determined <br /> ~hat the proposal would not have a significant adverse environmental effect. It was <br /> .determined that the matter would not be set for review by the City Council. <br /> <br />~ZONING CASE C-22-801 - PRICE AND SONS OF CALIFORNIA, INC. - NWLY. CORNER PHILBIN AND <br />'VAN BUREN <br />iA communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on <br />~February 19, 1981, ~he Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 2 noes, approved subject to <br />,conditions the request of Price and Sons of California, Inc., Zoning Case C-22-801, <br />':for a conditional use permit to establish, operate and main:sin an automobile service <br />,center (tire and battery installation) as part of a larger co~a~ercial use (discount <br />Store) on approximately 8.49 acres of vacant land situated on the northwesterly corner <br />,of Philbin Avenue and Van Buren Boulevard, being in the 5500-5700 blocks of Van Buren <br />Boulevard and the 7300 and 7400 blocks of Philbin Avenue, in Zones C-2-D; and <br />determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse environmental effect. <br />It was determined tha~ the matter would not be set for review by the City Council. <br /> <br /> CASE MP-9-778 (REVISED) - E. R. CARPENTER COMPANY, INC. - LINCOLN BETWEEN <br /> JEFFERSON AND GRACE <br /> A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on <br /> February 19, 1981, the Commission, by a vote of 9 ayes to 0 noes, approved subjec~ to <br /> conditions the proposal of E. R. Carpenter Company, Inc., Case MP-9-778 (Revised), to <br /> ~expand an existing industrial facility on an approximate 40-acre site situated on the <br /> [northwesterly side of Lincoln Avenue between Jefferson and Grace Streets, in Zone ~; <br /> 'and determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse environmental <br /> [effect.
