<br />In consideration of the recommendation from the Park and Recreation Department, the

<br />,was accepted as completed; and execution of the Notice of Completion was authorized

<br />&COMPLETION - BONDED STREET IMPROVEMENTS FOR PARCEL MAP 9265
<br />In consideration of the recommendation from the Public Works Department, the
<br />construction of bonded street improvements for Parcel Map 9265, located at 5325, 5335
<br />'and 5345 Bushnell Avenue northerly of Gramercy Place, by Jones Construction, was
<br />accepted as completed; and execution of the Notice of Completion was authorized and
<br />directed.

<br />COMPLETION - CITY PARTICIPATION IN PAVEMENT OF CHICAGO AT THIRD WITH ZONING CASE
<br />R-9-790
<br />In consideration of the recommendation from the Public Works Department, the
<br />construction of City participation in pavement of Chicago Avenue at Third Street with
<br />,Zoning Case R-9-790, located at Chicago Avenue from Third Street to approximately
<br />670 feet northerly, by AAA Paving Company, was accepted as completed; and execution of
<br />the Notice of Completion was authorized and directed.

<br /> COMPLETION - INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND LIGHTING SYSTEM - GOLDEN AND PIERCE
<br />~In consideration of the recommendation from the Public Works Department, the
<br />construction of installation of a traffic signal and lighting system at the intersec-
<br />~tion of Golden Avenue and Pierce Street, Contract TE-81-3, by Paul Gardner Corporation,
<br />~was accepted as completed; and execution of the Notice of Completion was authorized
<br />~and directed.

<br />~TIME EXTENSION - RECORD OF SURVEY NO. 906
<br />~A Time Extension Request was presented from Judith Daniel requesting a 24-month
<br />~extension of time to complete the off-site improvements required for Record of Survey
<br />=No. 906, located at Victoria Hill; together with a Memo from the Public Works Depart-
<br />~ment advising that this Record of Survey was adopted on April 18, 1967, and this is
<br />~the third request for a time extension. No construction has taken place. The Depart-
<br />~ment has on file bonds and agreement in a sufficient amount to cover the installation
<br />~of all required off-site improvements; and recommends that the City Council grant a
<br />24-month extension of time to July 22, 1984; whereupon, the recommendation was approved
<br />~as presented.

<br />:PURCHASING SERVICES MANAGER
<br />
<br />~BID NO. 3420 - DATA PROCESSING EQUIPMENT (BURROUGHS COMPATIBLE)
<br />,in consideration of the recommendation from the Purchasing Services Manager and the
<br />Finance Department, the following bids were accepted for furnishing data processing
<br />equipment (Burroughs compatible): Datamaxx USA Corporation, in the amount of $3,625.20
<br />for Item A, video display terminals; and Jaguar Computer Systems, Inc., in the amount
<br />of $3,116.40 for Item B, remote printers. All other bids were rejected; and the
<br />Purchasing Services Manager was authorized to proceed with the purchases by Purchase
<br />Order.

<br /> BID NO. 3424 - MUNICIPAL CORPORATION YARD PAVEMENT REPAIR
<br />:In consideration of the recommendation from the Purchasing Services Manager and the
<br />~Public Works Department, the bid of Forttans Paving, Inc., in the amount of $218,491.05,
<br />Xwas accepted for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment for Municipal Corpora-
<br />~tion Yard pavement repair. All other bids were rejected, and the bonds submitted with
<br />~said rejected bids were released from further liability; the City Attorney was
<br />~requested to prepare the necessary contract; and execution of the contract was autho-
<br />~rized and directed upon approval by the City Attorney of the required performance
<br />bonds.
