CITY OF RIVERSIDE COUNCI LME N March 2 1982 }Memo from the Public Works Department advising that this tract was adopted on July 7, }1981, and this is the first request for a time extension. No construction has taken }place. The Department has on file bonds and agreement in a sufficient amount to cover Ithe installation of all required off-site improvements; and recommends that the City {Council grant a 24-month time extension to April 29, 1984; whereupon, the {recommendation was approved. | {TIME EXTENSION - TRACT 14652 ,A Time Extension Request was presented from A. C. Nejedly requesting a six-month ten of time to complete the off-site improvements required for Tract 14652, lex slon ~ ated on Bluffs; together with a Memo from the Public Works Department loc Boulder }advising that this tract was adopted on May 26, 1981, and this is the first request ,for a time extension. Construction has started but is not complete. The Department {has on file bonds and agreement in a sufficient amount to cover the installation of ~all required off-site improvements; and recommends that the City Council grant a isix-month time extension to October 24, 1982; whereupon, the recommendation was approved. ,PURCHASING SERVICES MANAGER BID NO. 3390 - ANDREW STREET, PHASE II (SITE CLEARING) - HCD ARLINGTON AREA In consideration of the recommendation from the Purchasing Services Manager and the Public Works Department, the bid of Paul's Tree Service, in the amount of $37,799.00, was accepted for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment for the construction of Andrew Street, Phase II (Site Clearing), an HCD Arlington area project, subject to HUD approval. All other bids were rejected, and the bonds submitted with said rejected bids were released from further liability; the City Attorney was requested to prepare the necessary contract; and execution of the contract was authorized and directed upon approval by the City Attorney of the required performance bonds. BID NO. 3396 - FURNISH AND INSTALL AUTOMATION COMPUTER REPLACEMENT PER SPEC. NO. 400 In consideration of the recommendation from the Purchasing Services Manager, the Public Utilities Department and the Board of Public Utilities, the bid of Data General ~Corporation, in the amount of $130,209.61 for base bid plus optional equipment 2.3, ~being the only bid received, was accepted for furnishing and installing automation ~computer replacement per Specification No. 400 for the Public Utilities Department, ~Water Operations Division. All other bids were rejected; and the Purchasing Services !}~nager was authorized to proceed with the purchase by Purchase Order. , :BID NO. 3404 - ONE-HALF TON VAN WITH INTERIOR SERVICE PACKAGE ~in consideration of the recommendation from the Purchasing Services Manager, the ~Public Works Department and the Fleet Management Superintendent, the bid of Warren ~Anderson Ford, in the amount of $12,575.84 for Item No. 1, Specification No. 82-3404-A, ,was accepted for furnishing the Public Work~ Department, Sewerage Systems Division, iwith one one-half ton van equipped with interior service package. All other bids were ,rejected; and the Purchasing Services Manager was authorized to proceed with the purchase by Purchase Order. CITY MANAGER GENERAL FUND CONTINGENCY RESERVE AND UNAPPROPRIATED SURPLUS A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the Finance Director presenting the status of the General Fund Contingency Reserve and Unappropriated Surplus, as of February 16, 1982. The City Council accepted the report and ordered it filed for record. SECOND ~{ENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR OPERATION OF GAGE CANAL FACILITIES - RIVERSIDE SPORTS COMPLEX - PHASE II A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the Park and Recreation Director, concurred in by the Public Utilities Director and the City Attorney, recom- ~mending that the City Council authorize execution of the Second Amendment to Agreement ~for Operation of Gage Canal Facilities providing that, in the event future repairs of ~the Gage Canal Pipeline are necessary, the City will pay all costs for removal and ~replacement of Riverside Sports Complex improvements within the canal right-of-way. ~The recommendation was approved as presented. 67-339
