Motion :X: <br />' Second :X: <br />~ AllAyes <br /> <br /> The Chair recoBnized the presence in the audience of Paul Stewart representinE the <br />~Riverside Chamber of Commerce, Don Pulsifer representing the Arlington Chamber of <br />~Commerce and Vera BaumBartner representinS the La Sierra Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> The followin8 items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to <br /> those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for <br /> consideration, with the exception of Zonin8 Case MP-3-767 (Revised), Bid No. 3401, Motion :X: <br /> authorization for rate increase for NEWCO, and the Wilderness Substation site Mround Second :X: <br /> lease with the Toro Company, all of which were removed to the Discussion Calendar. All Ayes <br /> <br /> CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br /> ZONING CASE MP-1-812 (REVISED) - RALPH AFFAITATI CONSTRUCTION - 8178 MARVISTA COURT <br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on <br />January 21, 1982, the Commission, by a vote of 6 ayes to 3 noes, approved subject to <br />conditions the request of Ralph Affaitati Construction, ZoninE Case MP-1-812 (Re- <br />vised), to revise an approved MP plot plan to construct an industrial buildinE on <br />:approximately one acre of vacant land located at 8178 Mar Vista Court, situated on the <br />:southeast side of Mar Vista Court southerly of the intersection of S:. La~rcence <br />:Street and Lincoln Avenue, in Zone MP; and determined that the proposal would not have <br />:a siEnificant adverse effect on the environment. It was determined that the City <br />:Council would not set the matter for review. <br /> <br /> :ZONING CASE C-14-812 - C. MANES (TACOS AL CAKBON) - 5701 VAN BUREN BOULEVARD <br /> [A communication was presented from the City PlanninE Commission advisin8 that, on <br /> 13anuary 21, 1982, the Commission, by a vote of 9 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to <br /> iconditions the request of C. Manes (Tacos al Carbon), ZoninE Case C-14-812, for a <br /> iconditional use permit to establish, operate and maintain a fast food restaurant in an <br /> iexisting structure on approximately .34 acre of land located at 5701 Van Buren Boule- <br /> ivard, situated on the east side of Van Buren Boulevard approximately 650 feet southerly <br /> iof its intersection with Jackson Street, in Zone C-2; and determined that the proposal <br /> ,would not have a significant adverse environmental effect. It was determined that the <br /> iCi:y Council would not set the matter for public hearinE. <br /> <br /> ,BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENT <br /> <br /> ZONING CASE V-89-812 - BROWN DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, ET AL. - BLOCKS BOUNDED BY <br /> FIFT~, SEVENTH, LIME AND ~IVERSIDE FREEWAY <br /> A communication was presented from the Board of ZoninE Adjustment advisinE that, on <br /> February 1, 1982, the Board considered the request of Brown Development Corporation, <br /> et al., ZoninE Case V-89-81Z, for a variance to locate five wall siEns on five separate <br /> bulldinEs containin8 a combined area of approximately 132 square feet identifyinE the <br /> name of the shoppinE center where no wall siEns indicatinE the shoppinE center name <br /> :are permitted for the shoppinE center bounded by the blocks between Fifth, Seventh and <br /> Lime Streets and the Riverside Freeway, in Zones CL-S-2; and, by a vote of 6 ayes to <br /> ~0 noes, approved subject ~o conditions the PlanninE Department staff recommendation <br /> :for approval with modifications, includinE the condition that a maximam of one siEn <br /> :oriented toward the Freeway and ~wo oriented toward Lime Street shall be permitted, <br /> :including only one loEo for the entire project.
