<br /> BID NO. 3385 - FOUR-DOOR SEDANS AND STATION WAGONS FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT
<br />In consideration of the recommendation from the Purchasing Services ~anager and the
<br />Police Department, the following bids were accepted for furnishing four-door sedans
<br />and station waSons for the Police Deparment: Moss Motors, in =he amount of
<br />$158,725.20 for Item 1; and Volvo of Riverside, in the amount of $38,1~7.28 for Item
<br />2. All other bids were rejected; and the Purchasing Services Manager was authorlisa
<br />to proceed with the purchase by Purchase Order. Further, a ~rrttten re~ort was submit-
<br />ted from the City Manager and the Chief of Police recomending, with concurrence from
<br />the'Purchasing Services Manager, that the City Council approve a change iu the Police
<br />~Department's Account 203-821 for the purchase of 17 four-door sedans and 3 station
<br />wagons. The recommendation was approved as submitted.

<br />~Surplus as of January 19, 1982. The City Council received the report and ordered it
<br />~filed for record.

<br />~TEMPORARY STREET CLOSURE - FRIENDS OF THE MISSION INN - RESOLUTION
<br />~A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the Community Aide
<br />~reco-~-ending, with concurrence from the Chief of Police and the Fire Chief, that the
<br />&City Council adopt a resolution to temporarily close the streets identified in the
<br />repor~ on Friday and Saturday, February 5 and 6, 1982, for a Cornunity Festival Day
<br />sponsored by =he Friends of -=he Mission Inn, The recommendation was aperoved as
<br />presented; and Resolution No. 1~611 of the City Council of the City of Rive~side,
<br />California, Authorlift8 the Temporary ClosinE of Sixth Street Between Main and OratEs
<br />Etreets, From 8:00 P.M. on February 5, 1982, to 3:00 P.M. on February 6, 1982, in
<br />Connection With Com~unity Festival Day Sponsored by the Friends of ~he Mission Inn,
<br />was presented~ and the title havin~ been read, and further reading waived by the
<br />unanimous consent of Councilmembers present, was adopted.

<br />MISSION INN PARKING RENTAL - RESOLUTION
<br />A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the Assistant City Manager
<br />recommendinE that the City Council designate 30 spaces in Lot 2, located on Orange
<br />Street between Fifth and Sixth Streets, as lon~-term spaces and approve a rental rate
<br />to the Mission Inn of $300 per month. The recommendation was approved as presented;
<br />and Resolution No. 14612 of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California,
<br />~Amending Resolution No. 14509, as Amended, by Amending Section 3 Thereof to Provide
<br />,for 30 Monthly Permit Spaces in ParPing Lot 2 at the Rate of $10 Per Month Per Permit,
<br />and Amending Section 5 to Reduce the Number of Limited Time Spaces in Parking Lot 2 to
<br />~27 Spaces, was presented; and the title having been read, and further reading waived
<br />iby the unanimous consent of Councilmembers present, was adopted.
