<br />[The Minutes of the Meeting of January 19, 1982, were approved as submitted.

<br />~PUBLIC HEARINGS BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AT 3:00 P.M.
<br />
<br />~ZONING ON PROPERTY LOCATED IN ANNEXATION NO. 52--PALMYRITA-GAGE II
<br />3:00 P.M.--Hearing was called on the zoning to be placed on the property located in
<br />proposed Annexation No. 52--Palmyrita-Gage II, relating to approximately 20 acres of
<br />land in the Highgrove area, lying westerly of and including the Gage Canal, northerly
<br />of PalmyflEa Avenue and southerly of Springbrook Wash. The zoning will become effec-
<br />tive upon its annexation to the City of Riverside. The hearing was opened and pro-
<br />ceeded with. As heretofore directed by the City Council, the minutes of the City
<br />Planning Co~nission and the Environmental Protection Commission pertaining to this
<br />matter are on file and are a part of the evidence submitted at this hearing, whether
<br />or not any portion thereof is read or discussed. The communication from the City
<br />Planning Commission stated that the Co~lssion, by a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes, approved
<br />Zone MP, which is consistent with the land Use Element of the City of Riverside General
<br />Plan. The communication from the Environmental Protection Commission stated that the
<br />!Con~nission, by a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes, determined that the rezoning of the area to
<br />'Zone MP would not have a significant adverse environmental effect. The Planning
<br />:Director presented departmental recommendations, together with maps of the area. No
<br />~one was present wishing to speak on the -mEter. No written protests were p~esented.
<br />~Following discussion, the public hearing was officially closed. The City Council
<br />;adopted the staff report and the environmental assessment as findings and determined
<br />~that application of Zone MP to the area in proposed Annexation No. 52 would not have a
<br />=significant adverse environmental effect; Zone M~ was approved unconditionally, to be
<br />~effective upon annexation of the area to the City of Riverside; and an ordinance
<br />~entitled, "An Ordinance of the City of Riverside, California, Amending Chapter 19.06
<br />~of the Riverside Municipal Code to Place the Area Known as 'City of Riverside LAFC
<br />~81-41-5 (Annexation No. 52--PalmyflEa-Gage II)' in the Manufacturing Park (MP) Zone,"
<br />~was presented and introduced.

<br />~3:00 P.M.--Hearing was called to consider the desirability of annexing the proposed
<br />BPalmyrita-Gage II annexation area, proposed Annexation No. 52, consisting of approxi-
<br />emately 20 acres of land in the Highgrove area, lying westerly of and including the
<br />[Gage Canal, northerly of Palmytits Avenue and southerly of Springbrook Wash. The
<br />~hearing was opened and proceeded with. As heretofore directed by the City Council,

<br />~written or oral, were presented. No one was present wishing to speak on the matter.
<br />~Following discussion, the hearing was officially closed. The City Council adopted the
<br />~staff report and the environmental assessment as findings and determined that the
<br />~annexation would not have a significant adverse environmental effect; the recommenda-
<br />~tions of the City Planning Commission were approved as presented; the annexation was
<br />approved; and the following actions were taken:
