The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Bob Raven representing the Arlington Chamber of Commerce and Chuck Machado representing the La Sierra Chamber of Commerce. Councilman Shepard returned at this time. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items were approved by one motion affirmin8 the actions appropriate to those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for consideration, with the exception of the MOU for the Fire Unit, the proposed sisn code restudy, the change in applicability of Electric Schedule TOU, the report relative to water front footage fees, and the resolution regarding utilization of various ~departmental facilities, all of which were removed to the Discussion Calendar. CITY PLANNING COMMISSION ZONING CASE C-13-634 (REVISED) - RIVERSIDE COMMUNITY HOSPITAL - 4445 MAGNOLIA AVENUE ;A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on ;August 5, 1982, the Commission, by a vote of 6 ayes to 1 no, approved subject to sconditions the request of Riverside Community Hospital, Zoning Case C-13-634 (Re- ;vised), for a revised conditional use permit to provide substandard-sized (compact scar) parking stalls in lieu of required 20-foot by 9-foot parking stalls within a parking structure of the hospital complex located at 4445 Magnolia Avenue, situsted on ;the southwesterly corner of Magnolia Avenue and Fourteenth Street, in Zones R-3 and {CO-D; and determined that the proposal vould not have a significant adverse environmen- [=al effect. I= was determined that the City Council would not set the matter for ipublic hearing. ,ZONING CASE MP-2-634 (REVISED) - RELIANCE SHEET METAL COMPANY, ET AL. - 1025 PALMYRITA ,A cone=utica=ion was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on ,August 5, 1982, the Commission, by a vote of 5 ayes to 1 no and i abstention, approved subject to conditions the request of Reliance Sheet Metal Company, etal., Zoning Case ,MP-2-634 (Revised), to revise an approved plot plan to allow an optional location for .the placement of commercial coaches to be used for temporary offices on property .located at 1025 Palmyrita Avenue, situated on the northwest corner of Palmyrita Avenue and Northgate Street, in Zone MP. It was determined that the City Council ~would not set the matter for public hearing. ZONING CASE MP-3-767 (REVISED) - CARAVIA AND SONS (KOMFORT INDUSTRIES, INC.) - 7888 LINCOLN AVENUE ~A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on ~August 5, 1982, the Co~ission, by a vote of 5 ayes to 3 noes, approved subject to ~conditions the proposal of Caravia and Sons (Komfort Industries, Inc.), Zoning Case ~-3-767 (Revised), to install a 5-foot-hlgh, 24-square-foot freestanding Motion Second All Ayes Motion Second All Ayes 68-62
