<br />The Minutes of the Meetings of March 22 and 26, 1983, were approved as submitted.
<br />
<br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Frank Hurst representing the
<br />Riverside Chamber of Commerce, Viktor Christensen representing the La Sierra Chamber
<br />of Commerce and Steve Hillmar representing the Magnolia Center Chamber of Commerce.

<br /> CONSENT CALENDAR
<br />The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to
<br />those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for
<br />consideration, with the exception of Zoning Case V-116-823, the Long Beach Interna-
<br />tional Coal Proj oct Draft EIR, and the City Manager's proposed trip to Washington,
<br />~D.C., all of which were removed to the Discussion Calendar.

<br />~ZONING CASE MP-9-778 (REVISED) - E. R. CARPENTER COMPANY, INC., ET AL. - 7809 LINCOLN
<br />~A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br />~March 3, 1983, the Commission, by a vote of 6 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to
<br />~conditions the proposal of E. R. Carpenter Company, Inc., et el., Zoning Case MP-9-778
<br />(Re lsed) to revise the approved plot plan of an existing approximately 38-acre
<br />industrial facility by construction of an approximate l14,000-square-foot industrial
<br />~ ' ' northwesterly side of Lincoln Avenue between
<br />,building on property situated on the
<br />'Jefferson and Grace Streets, located at 7809 Lincoln Avenue, in Zone M~; and determined
<br />~that the proposal would not have a significant adverse environmental effect. It was
<br />idetermined that the City Council would not set the matter for public hearing.

<br />~A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br />iMarch 3, 1983, the Commission, by a vote of 6 ayes to I no, approved subject to condi-
<br />~tions the request of Concordia Group Inc., et el., Zoning Case PRD-7-823, to establish
<br />[a planned residential development consisting of five two-story buildings containing
<br />~148 one- and two-bedroom units, off-street parking, recreational areas, including
<br />~swirmning pool and building, common open area and carports, to be constructed in three
<br />~phases on property located in the 1200 block of Massachusetts Avenue, situated on the
<br />~northerly side of Massachusetts Avenue easterly of Iowa Avenue, in Zone R-I-65, tenre-
<br />Stively approved for Zones R-3-S-2; and determined that the proposal would not have a
<br />~significant adverse environmental effect. It was determined that the City Council
<br />:would not set the matter for public hearing.

<br />=ZONING CASE C-12-645 (REVISED) - SOUTHEASTERN CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF SEVENTH DAY
<br />~ADVENTISTS (LA SIERRA ACADEMY) - 4900 GOLDEN AVENUE
<br />~A con~nunication was presented from the City Planning Co~=nission advising that, on
<br />~March 3, 1983, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to
<br />~conditions the request of Southeastern California Association of Seventh Day Adventists
<br />~(La Sierra Academy), Zoning Case C-12-645 (Revised), for a revised conditional use
<br />~permit to construct additional educational buildings, off-street parking spaces, and
<br />~to revise the approved plot plan for future additions to an existing parochial school
<br />~located at 4900 Golden Avenue, situated on the westerly corner of Pierce Street and
<br />~Golden Avenue, in Zone RA; and determined that the proposal would not have a signifi-
<br />~cant adverse environmental effect. It was determined that the City Council would not
<br />setthe matter for public hearing.
