The <br />~recon~nendation was approved as presented. <br /> <br /> SUMMER BROCHURE <br />A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the Park and Recreation <br />Director recoummnding that the City Council authorize the Park and Recreation Depart- <br />ment to negotiate a contractual agreement with Shorco Publishing Incorporated to <br />~produce the Park and Recreation Department's Summer Brochure and authorize the <br />~execution of any necessar~ documents. The recommendation was approved as presented. <br /> <br />~ SPRING CAKNIVAL AT FAIRMOUNT PA~K <br />'A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the Park and Recreation <br />:Director, concurred in by the Finance Director, recommending that the City Council <br />'(1) authorize the Park and Recreation Department to negotiate with B and B Amusement <br />,to provide a spring carnival at Fairmount Park; (2) direct the Depart"merit to present a <br />Iprepared contract following negotiations to the City Council for approval; and (3) au- <br />,thorize the Park and Recreation Director to file an application for a temporary use <br />' ermit <br />~p pursuant to the provisions of Section 19.69.030 of the Riverside Municipal Code <br /> ,on behalf of the City. The recommendations were approved as presented. <br /> <br /> ,GIFT TO RIVERSIDE COMITY CENTER - BOBBY BONDS PARK <br />~A written report ~as submitted from the City Manager and the Park and Recreation <br />Director recoummending that the City Council accept the donation by Mr. Bobby Bonds of <br />a microwave oven to the Riverside Co~m~nity Center located in Bobb~ Bonds Park. The <br />recommenda~ion was approved as presented. <br /> <br /> RETAINING 0F LEGAL COUNSEL <br /> A written report was submitted from the Cit~ Manager and the Public Utilities Director,, <br /> concurred in by the City Attorney and the Finance Director, recommending that the City <br /> Council authorize preparation and execution of appropriate documents to retain the law <br /> firm of Duncan, Allen and Mitchell of Washington, D.C., to be assured the City has <br /> competent counsel to represent its interests at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commis- <br /> sion in the 1979 rate case against the Southern California Edison Company, with the <br /> understanding that the legal and economic consultant expenditure will be limited to <br /> $7,500.
