<br />MINUTES
<br />The Minutes of the Meeting of February 7, 1984, were approved as submitted.
<br />
<br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Bruce Camen8a representing the
<br />Riverside Chamber of Commerce, John Guthrie representing the Arlington Chamber of
<br />;Commerce, Tom Guagliardo representing the La Sierra Chamber of C~erce, Fred Butler
<br />|representing the Magnolia Center Chamber of Commerce and Dick Frick representing the
<br />~Paverside Downtown Association.
<br />
<br />:PRESENTATION
<br />~Mayor Brown introduced Mr. Don Dye, who presented a brief oral report on the progress
<br />~of the football/soccer complex. Mr. Dye referred to the City Council action of Novem-
<br />=bet 16, 1982, wherein approval was given the Cit7 contribution of $1 =o the project
<br />~for every $3 in materials or cash. He requested the City Council to (1) amend its
<br />previous action b7 adding donated labor to donated materials and funds, and
<br />~(2) authorize the drawing on the City funds in advance of the labor being performed in
<br />~the field. Following discussion, the City Council extended its aZreement to
<br />~contribute $1 for each $3 raised by donation to include donated labor, as well as
<br />Idonated materials and cash; authorization was given to draw on the City funds in
<br />ladvence of the labor beinS performed under con=factual arrangement with City; and
<br />'execution of ~ny required documents was authorized and directed. Further, the City
<br />Council requested that the donated amounts be coated out and certified bT the Finance
<br />Director; and the City Council reaffirmed that the source of City funds, up
<br />to $100,000, would be the Park Development Fees.

<br />CONSENT CALENDAR
<br />The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to
<br />those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for
<br />consideration, with the exception of Tract Map 19734, Tract Map 19735, and authori-
<br />zation for temporary Public Safety Dispatchers, all of which ~ere removed to the
<br />Discussion Calendar.

<br /> ZONING CASE C-12-645 (REVISED) - LA SIERRA ACADEMY - 4900 GOLDEN AVENUE
<br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br />;January 19, 1984, the Cowsmission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to
<br />,conditions the request of La Sierra Academy, Zoning Case C-12-645 (Revised), for a
<br />revised conditional use permit to revise an approved plot plan to expand an existing
<br />:parking lot, add new permanent buildings, relocate three existing commercial coaches,
<br />' and
<br />t legitimize other coaches on property situated on the west comer of Colden Avenue
<br />,and Pierce Street, located at 4900 Golden Avenue, in Zone RA; and determined that the
<br />:proposal would not have a significant adverse environmental effect. It was determined
<br />' a
<br />.th t the City Council would not set the matter for public hearing.

<br />~ZONING CASE C-9-723 (REVISED) - T. W. AND P. L. STAMEN - 5545 VICTORIA AVENUE
<br />~A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br />&January 19, 1984, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to
<br />~conditions the request of T. W. and P. L. Stamen, Zoning Case C-9-723 (Revised), for a
<br />,revised conditional use permit to add a room addition to an existing dwelling within
<br />~the condomininm project (Touchstone) situated on the west side of Victoria Avenue
<br />,southerly of Central Avenue, located at 5545 Victoria Avenue, in Zone R-1-125; and
<br />,determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse environmental effect.
<br />,It was determined that the City Council would not set the matter for public hearing.
