<br />The Minutes of the Meetings of January 24 and 27, 1984, were approved as submitted.

<br />:The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Dee Gipson representing the
<br />~La Sierra Chamber of Commerce and Bob Lancaster representing the Riverside Downtown
<br />~Association.

<br />~The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to
<br />~those ite~ listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for
<br />~consideration, with the exception of Zoning Case C-31-823, the extension of leave of
<br />~absence for Police Officer Warren Banks, Certificates of Participation Supplemental
<br />~Equipment List and modification of condition for Case GP-27-812, all of which were
<br />,removed =o the Discussion Calendar.

<br />ZONING CASE C-21-723 (REVISED) - CASTLE PARK DEVELOPMENT CO., INC. - 3500 POLK STREET
<br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br />January 19, 1984, the Co~nission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to
<br />conditions the request of Castle Park Development Co., Inc., Zoning Case C-21-723
<br />(Revised), for a revised conditional use permit to increase the height of a chain link
<br />fence and wall on the perimeter of an existing amusement park from six to nine feet at
<br />3500 Polk Street, situated on the southwest side of Polk Street southeasterly of
<br />~Magnolia Avenue, in Zone R-1-65. It was determined chat the City Council would not
<br />:set the matter for public hearing.

<br />ZZONING CASE C-28-834 - D. A. MILLER - 3180 CRIDGE STREET - DENIAL
<br />:A communication was presented from the City Plannins Co~ission advising that, on
<br />~january 19, 1984, the CommissiOn, by a vote of 5 ayes to 0 noes, denied the request of
<br />~D. A. Miller, Zonins Case C-18-834, for a conditional use permit to establish a private;
<br />Zrecreational use (an indoor shooting range) and incidental sales of Suns, accessories
<br />~and snack items within an existing building at 3180 Cridge Street, situated on the
<br />Zsou=hwesterly side of Cridge Street southeasterly of Olivewood Avenue, in Zone M-i.
<br />~The City Council upheld the Co~mission's action in denying the request for a
<br />=conditional use permit.

<br />ZZONING CASE PRD-13-834 - THE WOODWARD COMPANIES - SW. CORNER BLAINE STREET AND RUSTIN
<br />=A communication was presented from the City Plantin8 C~ission advising that, on
<br />~Januar~ 5, 1984, the Commission, by a vote of 6 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to
<br />,conditions the request of The ~oodward Companies, Zoning Case PRD-13-834, to establish
<br />a planned residential development consisting of 104 units (56 one-bedroom, 48 two-
<br />,bedroom) with private and common open space and off-street parking on approximately
<br />i4.2 acres of land partially developed with a residence and the remainder vacant,
<br />,situated on the southwest comer of Blaine Street and Rustin Avenue, in Zone R-3; and
<br />.determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse environmental effect.
<br />'It was determined that the City Council would not set the matter for public hearing.

<br />=lish a planned residential development consisting of 80 apartment units (24 one-
<br />]bedroom, 56 two-bedroom) with private and common open area and off-street parking on
