Motion ~X~ <br /> Second ~X~ <br /> All Ayes <br /> <br /> ~PUBLIC HEARINGS BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AT 3:00 P.M. <br /> | <br /> ,FURTHER HEARING - ABATEMENT AND REMOVAL OF ABANDONED VEHICLES - 4402 VIA SAN JOSE <br /> ,3:00 P.M.--As determined by the City Council on January 10, 1984, further hearing was <br /> ,called in the matter of the proposed abatement, the assessment of the costs of removal <br /> ~of abandoned, wrecked, dismantled or inoperative vehicles or parts thereof and to <br /> ~consider the assessment of the administrative costs and the cost of removal of the <br /> ~vehicles or parts thereof as a lien against the property on which said vehicles or <br /> ~parts thereof are located at 4402 Via San Jose. The matter was continued to this time <br /> ,to permit additional time for the vehicles to be removed or stored or restored to <br /> ~operating/licensed condition. Special Agent Carpenter of the Police Department advised Motion ~X[ <br /> ~the City Council that the subject property has been cleared of all inoperable vehicles Second ~X~ <br /> 'and parts; whereupon, the proceedings were abandoned. All Ayes <br /> <br /> PROPOSED ACQUISITION OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY ELECTRICAL FACILITIES BY , <br /> :EMINENT DOMAIN IN THE AREA ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE IN "ANNEXATION <br /> 'NO 35--SYCAMORE ANNEXATION NO. 1" <br /> ~3:00 P.M.--Hearing was called on the proposed acquisition by the City of Riverside, <br /> ~through its powers of eminent domain, the Southern California Edison Company electrical <br /> ~facilities, including certain interests in real property, located in that area annexed <br /> 'to the City of Riverside as "Annexation No. 35--Sycamore Annexation No. 1". The <br /> ~hearing was opened and proceeded with, the notice of hearing having been duly given as <br /> ~required by law. A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the Public <br /> ~Utilities Director, concurred in by the Real Property Services Manager, presenting an <br /> ~analysis of acquisition of Southern California Edison Company electrical facilities in <br /> 'the subject area; and recommending that the City Council (1) adopt a Resolution of <br /> ~Necessity;'and (2) authorize the City Attorney to commence proceedings to acquire the <br /> ~subject electrical facilities. No protests, either written or oral, were presented. <br /> 'N <br /> , o one was present wishing to speak on the matter. All Ayes <br /> , f <br /> ,Resolution No. 15250 of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, Stating <br /> ~the Public Use for Which Certain Southern California Edison Company Electrical Trans- <br /> ,m~ss~on and Distribution Facilities, Including Interests in Real Property, in the Area <br /> ~Annexed to the City of Riverside, in "Annexation No. 35--Sycamore Annexation No. 1" is <br /> Sought to be Acquired and Stating the Statutory Authority Authorizing Such Acquisition <br /> ~by Eminent Domain; Describing the General Location and Extent of the Property to be <br /> ~Acquired; Finding and Determining the Public Interest and Necessity Require the Acqui- <br /> ~sition of Said Facilities, That the Project is Planned or Located in a Manner That <br /> ~Will be Most Compatible With the Greatest Public Good and the Least Private Injury, <br /> [That the Property Herein Described is Necessary for the Proposed Project, and That the <br /> · :Offer Required by Section 7267.2 of the Government Code Has Been Made to the Owner of <br /> ~Record of the Subject Property; and Authorizing Proceedings in Eminent Domain, was Motion :X~ <br /> ~presented; and the title having been read, and further reading waived by the unanimous Second ~X~ <br /> :consent of Councilmembers present, was adopted.
