CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> <br />PUR~ING SERVICES I~.,ANAGER <br /> <br />BID NO. 4072 - TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND LIGHTING SYSTEM AT CHICAGO AND SPRUCE AND IOWA AND <br />PENNSYLVANIA <br />In consideration of the recommendation from the Purchasing Services Manager and the Pub- <br />lic Works Department, the bid of Paxin Electric, Inc., in the amount of $126,956.00, was <br />accepted for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment for the work of installing a <br />traffic signal and lighting system at the intersections of Chicago Avenue and Spruce <br />Street and Iowa Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue. All other bids were rejected, and the <br />bonds submitted with said rejected bids were released from further liability; the City <br />Attorney was requested to prepare the necessary contract; and execution of the contract <br />was authorized and directed upon approval by the City Attorney of the required perform- <br />ance bonds. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />SHIFTING LINCOLN'S DAY HOLIDAY - RESOLUTION <br />A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the Assistant City Manager rec- <br />o~mnending that the City Council adopt the appropriate resolution to provide for shifting <br />Lincoln's Day from February 12, 1987, to February 13, 1987, for the City employees des- <br />cribed in the report. The recommendation was approved as presented; and Resolution No. <br />16358 of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, to Provide That Febru- <br />ary 13, 1987 Will be a Holiday Known as Lincoln's Day for Certain City Employees Rather <br />Than February 12th as Designated in Section 1 of Resolution No. 15810, as Amended, was <br />presented; and the title having been read, and further reading waived by the unanimous <br />consent of Councilmembers present, was adopted. <br /> <br />VEHICLES FOR HIRE PERMIT - LOYALTY AMBULETTE SERVICE <br />A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the Performance Analyst, con- <br />curred in by the Senior Deputy City Attorney, recommending that the City Council grant <br />to Loyalty Ambulette Service an additional 30 days to meet the requirements for a Ve- <br />hicles for Hire Permit previously set by the City Council and agreed to by the appli- <br />cant. The recommendation was approved as presented. <br /> <br />FALCON CABLE TELEVISION <br />A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the Cable Television Adminis- <br />trator, concurred in by the Assistant to City Manager, regarding cable service changes <br />by Falcon Co~nications. The report was accepted and ordered filed. <br /> <br />DOWNTOWN ASSOCIATION ANNUAL REPORT - PARKING AND BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT AREA <br />A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the Senior Administrative As- <br />sistant, concurred in by the Executive Director of the Riverside Downtown Association, <br />recommending that the City Council accept and file the first annual report on the Park- <br />ing and Business Improvement Area from the Downtown Association with the understanding <br />that the audit will he presented when completed. The recommendation was approved as <br />presented. <br /> <br />MUNICIPAL PROJECTS - FEBRUARY 1987 <br />A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the Senior Administrative As- <br />sistant advising of the municipal projects that will be in progress or completed during <br />the month of February 1987. The report was accepted and ordered filed. <br /> <br />DOWNTOWN DESIGN GUIDELINES IMPLEMENTATION REPORT - CONTINUED <br />Presentation was continued to April 7, 1987, of the staff report regarding possible <br />funding sources for the proposed priority public improvements outlined in the Downtown <br />Design Guidelines Implementation Report. <br /> <br />RETROACTIVE SALARY INCREASES FOR TWO MANAGEMENT CLASSES AND ONE CLASS TITLE CHANGE -' <br />FUND TRANSFER - RESOLUTION <br />A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the Administrative Services Di-' <br />rector, concurred in by the Park and Recreation Director and the Mayor, recommending{ <br />that the City Council, effective July 11, 1986, (1) approve and adopt a resolution to <br />amend the Salary Resolution, Management Classes Section, as follows: (a) change the' <br />salary range for Executive Secretary from 38.3 with five steps ($1,812-$2,202) to 39.3 <br />with five steps ($1,903-$2,313), and (b) add a new class of Special Services Coordinator <br />(Transportation), salary range 43.2 with five steps ($2,301-$2,797); (2) approve the re-' <br />classification of one position of Special Services Coordinator, salary range 41.7 with ' <br /> <br />72-313 <br /> <br /> <br />
