'. .... <br /> Roll Call: Present X X,X X,X,X, , <br /> , , X <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by the Reverend Edward Cormoily, Sacred Heart Church. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meetings of January 13, 1987, were approved as submitted. <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS - UNITED WA~ <br />The Mayor called upon Jose Penn, Executive Director of United Way, who commended City <br />employees for their work in making the United Way campaign a success; and Mayor Brown <br />and the City Manager presented certificates to the departmental representatives for the <br />United Way campaign. <br /> <br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Richard Rust representing the Riv- <br />erside Chamber of Commerce, Keith Watson representing the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, <br />Don Baskerr representing the La Sierra Chamber of Commerce, Tullos Baugh representing <br />the Magnolia Center Chamber of Commerce, Mark Haworth representing the Hunter Park- <br />Northside Chamber of Commerce and Pattitin Davis representing the University-Canyon <br />Crest Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to <br />those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for con- <br />sideration, with the change in the scheduled hearing date for the proposed issuance of <br />refunding bonds for Riverside Community Hospital as noted on Pages 72-316 and 72-317. <br /> <br />PLANNING DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />TIME EXTENSION - ZONING CASE R-10-845 <br />A communication was presented from Don S. Lieberman, Vice President, Sunseri Construc- <br />tion, requesting a retroactive time extension in which to complete the conditions of ap- <br />proval under Zoning Case R-10-845, relating to the approximately 2.89 acres of land in <br />the 4400 and 4500 blocks of La Sierra Avenue and the 4500 block of Minier Avenue, situ- <br />ated at the east corner of La Sierra and ~inier Avenues. Petition for a zone change was <br />granted on September 11, 1984, and this is the first request for a time extension. The <br />time extension was granted to Septamber 11, 1987. (This case has been active less than <br />five years and is eligible for a one-year time extension without a public hearing.) <br /> <br />PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMF-NT <br /> <br />COMPLETION - BRYANT PARK LITTLE LEAGUE LIGHTING, A CDBG PROJECT (HUD PROJECT) <br />In consideration of the recommendation from the Park and Recreation Department, the work <br />of replacing Little League ballfield lights at Bryant Park, a Community Development <br />Block Grant project (HUD project), located at 7950 Philbin Avenue, by Thayre Electric <br />Service, Inc., was accepted as completed; and execution of the Notice of Completion was <br />authorized and directed. <br /> <br />CO}~PLETION - LOW PARK IRRIGATION REHABILITATION <br />In consideration of the recommendation from the Park and Recreation Department, the work <br />of rehabilitating the irrigation at Low Park, located at 7101 Magnolia Avenue, by Wil- <br />liam Murray, General Engineering Contractor, was accepted as completed; and execution of <br />the Notice of Completion was authorized and directed. <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />COMPLETION- BUENA VISTA DRIVE BALUSTRADES AND ELECTROLIERS, PHASE I (HUD-FUNDED PROJECT) <br />In consideration of the recommendation from the Public Works Department, the york of re-, <br />moving and replacing certain balustrades and electrolists, and removal of trees along[ <br />Buena Vista Drive, Phase I (MUD-funded project), located on Buena Vista Drive from In-, <br />dian Hill Drive to Mission Boulevard, by Modern Alloys, Inc., was accepted as completed;] <br />and execution of the Notice of Completion was authorized and directed. <br /> <br /> 72-312 <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br /> <br />
