<br />A communication was presented from the City Plauuin~ Commission advistn~ that, on
<br />April 7, 1988, ~he Consmission, b~ a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi-
<br />tions the proposal of A. NeJedly, Parcel Map 21822, to divide land which is partially un-
<br />der the Jurisdiction of both the City of Riverside (.58 acre of land) and the County of
<br />Riverside (18.8 acres of land), total acreage of 19.5 vacant acres of lind, into approxi-
<br />mately four Imrcels for residential purposes, situated at the Eerminus of Galaxie
<br />Heights Road northerly of Two Trees Road in the City in Zone R-1-65 and Zone RC and in
<br />the County in Zone RA-1 and Zone W-2-20; and determined that the proposal would not have
<br />a si~niflcant adverse effect on the envirommnt. Both City and ConnCy are required Co
<br />review a map when area within the map is located in both Jurisdictions. I~ was deter-
<br />mined that the City Council would not set the matter for public haartq.

<br />A communicaClon was presented from the Environmental Protection Cosmission advising
<br />that, on April 13, 1988, the Commission considered proposed revisions to a previously-
<br />approved grading plan for Tract 14540 (Zoning Case FRD-5-856), a 490-unit multiple-
<br />fsmily residential development, situated on approximately 56 acres of land located on
<br />the north side of Central Avenue adjacent Co the Riverside CountT Sheriff's Training
<br />Academy; and, by a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes and 1 abstention, determined that the pro-
<br />posed project would not have a significant adverse effect subject to certain mitigating
<br />measures, Case EPC-32-856 (Ravised). The City Council upheld =he Comalssion's recomen-
<br />dations.

<br />In consideration of the recomsendation from the Mminis=ratlve Services Deparmeut, the
<br />work of floor covering replacement at the Riverside Central Library, located at 3581 Sev-
<br />enth Street, by Fair Price Enterprises, lnc., was accepted as completed; and execution
<br />of the Notice of Completion was authorized and directed.

<br />In consideration of the recomndation from the Public Works Departrout, the City Coun-
<br />cil accepted a new Bond No. 9605718 from Developers Insurance Company, in the amount of
<br />,737,000 for faithful performnce, and in the amount of ,368,500 for labor and material,
<br />submitted by Sterling BuildInS, Inc., for insuring the improvements for Tract 19958-2,
<br />located at Van Buren Boulevard and Trautvetn Road; and ~he previous bond from ~mertcan
<br />Motorists Insurance Company, on hehaIf of The Andover Companies, was released.

<br />was accepted for furnishing the Library Departmen= with 145 readers' library chairs (re-
<br />bid). All o~har bids ware rejected; and the Purchasing Services Manager was authorized
