Motion ,X, <br /> Second ,X, <br /> All Ayes <br /> <br />YOUTH IN GOVERNMENT DAY <br />Mayor Brown acknowledged the presence in the audience of the students from various high <br />schools participating in the Youth in Government Day program sponsored by the Junior <br />Chamber of Commerce, who had earlier been introduced to their City Official Counter- <br />parts. <br /> <br />The Assistant City Manager introduced Wendell Pryor, the'City's new Personnel Director. <br /> <br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Mary Moreland representing the Ar- <br />lington Chamber of Commerce, Bob Stewart representing the Magnolia Center Chamber of Com- <br />merce, Woodie RutAct-Hughes representing the Hunter Park-Northside Chamber of Commerce <br />and Julia Branstarter representing the University-Canyon Crest Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALEIIDAR <br />The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to <br />those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for c6n- <br />sideration; with the exception of the modification to the item on Page 73-428 regarding <br />selection process for retaining a developer to construct additional office space; and Motion X! <br />the report regarding acquisition of computerized legislative review systems which was re- Second <br />moved to the Discussion Calendar. All Ayes <br /> <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />ZONING CASE C-42-878 - CUNNINGHAM BARISIC DEVELOPMENT CORP., ET AL. - 3854-3870 HOLE <br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on <br />March 17, 1988, the Commission, by a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi- <br />tions the request of Cunningham Barisic Development Corporation, et al., Zoning Case <br />C-42-878, for a conditional use permit to establish a fast food restaurant (Arby's) on <br />approximately 30,927 square feet of land at 3854-3870 Hole Avenue, developed with three <br />single-family residences (proposed for removal), situated on the southerly side of Hole <br />Avenue approximately 400 feet westerly of Magnolia Avenue, in Zone R-1-65, proposed Zone <br />C-3; and determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse effect on the <br />environment. It was determined that the City Council would not set the matter for pub- <br />lic hearing. <br /> <br />ZONING CASE MP-1-601 (REVISED) - WENDONER INVESTMENTS, INC. - 1200 COLUMBIA <br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on <br />March 17, 1988, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 1 no and 1 abstention, approved <br />subject to conditions the request of Wendoner Investments, Inc., Zoning Case MP-1-601 <br />(Revised), for a revised industrial plot plan to add a 23,713-square-foot manufacturing <br />building to the industrial facility (Bourns) located at 1200 Col,-.bia Avenue, situated <br />on the southeast corner of Columbia and Iowa Avenues, in Zone MP; and determined that <br />the proposal would not have a significant adverse effect on the environment. It was de- <br />termined that the City Council would not set the matter for public hearing. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION COMMISSION <br /> <br />CASE EPC-18-878 (REVISED) - PROPOSED WIDENING OF PIERCE <br />A communication was presented from the Environmental Protection Commission advising <br />that, on March 23, 1988, the Commission, by a vote of 10 ayes to 0 noes, determined that <br />the proposal by the City of Riverside to widen Pierce Street, commencing at the east- <br />bound offramp of the Riverside Freeway extending 775 feet northerly to the north side of <br />La Sierra Channel, and to widen the westbound Pierce Street onramp to the Riverside Free- <br />way, would not have a significant adverse effect on the environment, Case EPC-18-878 (Re- <br />vised).
