<br />The Minutes of the Meetings of February 29 and March 1, 1988, were approved as submitted.
<br />
<br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of David Marriner representir~ the Riv-
<br />erside Chamber of Commerce, Sue gybraniec representing the Arlin~ton Chamber of Com-
<br />merce, Jim Paltun~as representin~ the La Sierra Chamber of Commerce, Tim Burgess repre-
<br />sentin~ the Hunter Park-Northside Chamber of Commerce and Richard Rust representing the
<br />UniversitT-Canyon Crest Chamber of Commerce.

<br />CONSENT CALENDAR
<br />The followin~ items were approved by one motion affirmin~ the actions appropriate to
<br />those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for con-
<br />sideration; with the exception of the reports regardin~ UCR/City Sports Complex Advisory
<br />Connnittee and Street Tree Removal Policy, both of which were removed to the Discussion
<br />Calendar.

<br />CASE VAC-8-878 - PORTIONS CONNECTOR ROAD BET. OLD gOOD AND TRAUTWEINAND JOHN F. KENNEDY
<br />A com~unication was presented from the City Plannin~ Commission advisir~ that, on Janu-
<br />ary 21, 1988, the Commission, by a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi-
<br />tions the proposed vacation of an approximately 88-foot-wide by 260-foot-lon~ portion of
<br />a connector road between Old good Road and Trautwein Road about 0.3 mile southerly of
<br />Alessaudro Boulevard, and an approximately 4&-font-wide by 1,420-fout-lon~ portion of
<br />John F. Kennedy Drive extending between the intersection of good and Trautwein Roads and
<br />Old good Road, Case VAC-8-878. The Public gorks Department was requested to furnish the
<br />necessary legal description, and the City Attorney was authorized to prepare the appro-
<br />priate resolution for City Council consideration to set the matter for public hearing.

<br />ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION COMMISSION

<br />CASE EPC-47-878 - PROPOSED GRADING FLAN -MISSION G~VE PARKWAY NORTH (EXTENDED) NORTHER-
<br />LY OF COTTONWOOD AND ALESSANDRO
<br />A communication was presented from the Environmental Protection Commission edvistn~
<br />that, on February 10, 1988, the Commission, by a vote of 10 ayes to 0 noes, determined
<br />that the proposed gradinS plan for Tentative Tract 22212, the proposed division of ap-
<br />proximately ten acres of land into 26 single-family residential lots, generally situated
<br />on the northerly side of Mission Grove Parkway North (extended), northerly of Cottonwood
<br />Avenue and Alessandro Boulevard, could have a significant effect on the environment, but
<br />will not in this case If certain mitigating measures are required as part of the condi-
<br />tions of approval of the project, Case EPC-~7-878. The Commission's finding was upheld
<br />by the City Council.

<br />CASE EPC-48-878 - FROPOSED GRADING PLAN - ~ESTERLY SIDE VIA VISTA (EXTENDED) SOUTHERLY
<br />OF ALESSANDRO, NORTHWESTERLY OF OVERLOOK PARKWAY (EXTENDED)
<br />A communication was presented from the Enviroomental Protection Commission advising
<br />that, on February 10, 1988, the Commission, by a vote of 6 ayes to 3 noes and 1 absten-
<br />tion, determined that the proposed gradin8 plan for Tentative Tract 22~67, the proposed
<br />division of approximately 20 acres of land into ten sinSis-family residential lots, gen-
<br />erally situated on the westerly side of Via Vista Drive (extended) southerly of Alessan-
<br />dro Boulevard, northwesterly of Overlook Parkway (extended), in Zone RC, could have a
<br />significant effect on the environment, but will not in this case if certain mitigating
<br />measures are required as conditions of approval of the project, Case EPC-~8-878. The
<br />Commisston's findinS was upheld by the City Council.

<br />TIME EXTENSION ON CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL - ZONING CASE R-45-856
<br />A communication was presented from John Jordan, Albert A. gebb Associates, on behalf of
<br />E. J. Fezekes, requesting a one-year extension of time in which to canplate the condi-
<br />tions of approval under Zoning Case R-45-856, relatin~ to the approximately 1.17 acres
<br />of land on the southwesterly side of Jackson Street approximately 650 feet southeasterly
<br />of Colorado Avenue. Petition for a zone change ~as granted on March 11, 1986; and this
