<br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Vik Christensen representing the
<br />Riverside Chamber of Commerce, Keith Watson representing the Arlington Chamber of Com-
<br />merce, Jim Pallunges representing ~he La Sierra Chamber of Commerce, Bob Parks represent-
<br />ing the Magnolia Center Chamber of Commerce, Woodie Rucker-Rughes representing the Hunt-
<br />er Park-Northside Chamber of Commerce and Kevin Lewis representing the University-Canyon
<br />Crest Chamber of Commerce.

<br />CONSENT CALENDAR
<br />The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to
<br />those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for con-
<br />sideration; with the exception of the reports regarding the Depot Center parking
<br />lease, rental of temporary bleachers for Riverside Sports Complex, and Sycamore Canyon
<br />Industrial Park Assessment District, all of which were removed to the Discussion Calen-
<br />dar.

<br />ZONING CASE C-35-878 - UNION OIL CO. OF CALIFORNIA, ET AL. - 1395 BLAINE
<br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on Febru-
<br />ary 4, 1988, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi-
<br />tions the request of Union Oil Company of California, etal., Zoning Case C-35-878, for
<br />a conditional use permit to add a service bay to an existing service station on approxi-
<br />mately .5 acre of land at 1395 Blaine Street, situated on the northerly side of Blaine
<br />Street adjacent to the I 215/US 60 Freeway approximately 500 feet westerly of Iowa Ave-
<br />nue, in Zone C-2; and determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse
<br />effect on the environment. It was determined that the City Council would not set the
<br />matter for public hearing.

<br />ZONING CASE C-36-878 - E. G. ACREY - 2400 BLOCK OF ALESSANDRO
<br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on Febru-
<br />ary 4, 1988, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi-
<br />tions the request of E. G. Acrey, Zoning Case C-36-878, for a conditional use permit to
<br />establish a gasoline self-service station within a proposed shopping center on approxi-
<br />mately 1.9 vacant acres of land in the 2400 block of Alessandro Boulevard (formerly
<br />20400 block of the County of Riverside addressing system), situated on the southerly
<br />side of Alessandro Boulevard about 11/4 miles east of Trautwein Road, in Zone C-2; and
<br />determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse effect on the environ-
<br />ment. It was determined that the City Council would not set the matter for public
<br />hearing.

<br />PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
<br />
<br />COMPLETION - DEXTER DRIVE SEWER EXTENSION
<br />In consideration of the recommendation from the Public Works Department, the work of in-
<br />stalling a sanitary sewer and connecting a building thereto on Dexter Drive between
<br />Field Lane and Redwood Drive in Fairmount Park, located at 2624 Fairmount Boulevard, by
<br />Mladen Grbavac, was accepted as completed; and execution of the Notice of Completion was
<br />authorized and directed.

<br />TRACT MAP 19109 - NORTHERLY OF ARIZONA WESTERLY OF LA SIERRA
<br />The Letter of Credit from Capital Bank in the amounts of ~167,800 to secure performance
<br />of Agreement for Construction of Street Improvements and ,83,900 for labor and materi-
<br />als; together with the Agreement of Robert R. Reed Family Trust, Robert Reed Trustee,
<br />guaranteeing the completion of streets, curbs, gutters, and all other improvements de-
<br />scribed on the Final Map of Tract 19109, located northerly of Arizona Avenue westerly of
<br />La Sierra Avenue, were approved and accepted.
