<br />A ~ritten report was submitted from the City ~anager and the Administrative Services Di-
<br />rector, concurred in by the Public Utilities Director, the Planning Director and the Pub-
<br />lic Works Director, reco~mendin8 that the City Council (1) adopt a resolution anendins
<br />the Salary Resolution, General Classes Section, (a) to add the follo~in8 positions: De-
<br />velopment Services Representative I, salar7 ranSe 31.3 with five steps (jl,288-$1,565),
<br />Development Services Representative II, salary range 34.3 with five steps ($1,491-
<br />$1,812), Development Services Representative llI, salary range 35.3 with five steps
<br />(~1,565-{1,903), and Senior Development Services Representative, salary range 37.3 with
<br />five steps (~1,726-~2,098), effective October 15, 1987, and (b) to delete the followinS
<br />positions: Utilities Service Representative I, salary range 31.3 with six steps
<br />($1,288-~1,643), and Utilities Service Representative II, salary range 35.3 with five
<br />steps ($1,565-~1,903), effective January 8, 1988; (2) approve the reclassification of
<br />the followinS positions: one Senior Clerk in Public Works Department, Division 311,
<br />Development Services Representative Ill; one Typist Clerk in Public Works Department, Di-
<br />vision 311, to Development Services Representative II; one Senior Clerk in Plannans De-
<br />partment, Division 271, to Development Services Representative II; one Senior Clerk in
<br />Planning Department, Division 271, to Development Services Representative IIl; one Utili-
<br />ties Service Representative I in Public Utilities Department, Division 605, to Develop-
<br />ment Services Representative Ill; one Utilities Service Representative I in Public
<br />Utilities Department, Division 705, to Development Services Representative II; and one
<br />Utilities Service Representative II in Public Utilities Department, Division 705, to Sen-
<br />ior Development Services Representative; and (3) approve the Job descriptions for Devel-
<br />opment Services Representative I, Development Services Representative II, Development
<br />Services Representative IIl, and Senior Developmen~ Services Representative. The recom-
<br />mendations were approved as presented; and Resolution No. 16706 of the City Council of
<br />the City of Riverside, California, Amending Subsection (d) of Section 4 of Resolution
<br />No. 15809, as Amended, to Add to the General Unit as of October 15, 1987, the New Class-
<br />es Entitled "Development Services Representative I", "Development Services Representa-
<br />tive II", "Development Services Representative ZlI" and "Senior Development Services
<br />Representative" and the Appropriate Salary Ranass Therefor, and by Deleting From Said
<br />General Unit as of January 8, 1988, the Classes Entitled "Utilities Service Representa-
<br />tive I" and "Utilities Service Representative II", was presented; and the title havinE
<br />been read, and further rending waived by the unanimous consent of Councilmembers pres-
<br />ent, was adopted.

<br />SENIOR COMITY EMFLOYI~Elfr PROGRAM AGRZEt~ENT
<br />A written report was submitted from the City MannSet and the Grants Coordinator, con-
<br />curred in by the Development Director, recommending that the City Council approve the ex-
<br />ecution of an agreement with the Riverside County Office on Agins in the amount of
<br />~21,886 for continuation of the Senior C~unity Service Employment ProSram for the pe-
<br />riod July 1, 1987, through June 30, 1988. The recoaaendation was approved as presented.

<br />SCHEDULE OF CASH AND INVESTMENTS
<br />A written report was submitted from the City l~anager and the Acting Finance Director
<br />presenting the Schedule of Cash and Investments for the City as of December 31, 1987.
<br />The report was received and ordered filed.

<br />CONSERVATION GRANT APPLICATION
<br />A written report was submitted from the City ManaSer and the Historic Resources Direc-
<br />tor, concurred in by the ActinS Finance Director and the Grants Coordinator, recommend-
<br />ins that the City Council authorize (1) the Historic Resources Department to apply to
<br />the Institute of Museum Services for a ~17,220 Conservation Project Support Srant; and
<br />(2) acceptance of this Srant, if awarded. The recommendations were approved as pre-
<br />sented.

<br />POLICE VEHICLE REPLACEI~ENT
<br />A written report was submitted from the City Haneger and the Chief of Police, concurred
<br />in by the Purchasing Services Manager, recommending that the City Council authorize the
<br />expenditure of J13,085.18, funded by COPs funds contained in the appropriate Police
