CITY OF RIVERSIDE Minutes of Regular Meeting of the City Council Date of Meeting: January 19, 1988 Time of Meeting: 9 A.M. Roll Call: Councilman Digati was absent due to business. e The Invocation was given by Father McCuinness, St. Catherine's Catholic Church. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meetings of January 12, 1988, were approved as submitted. The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Dennis Morgan representing the Riverside and University-Canyon Crest Chambers of Commerce, Mary Moreland representing the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Wendell Tucker representing the La Sierra Chamber of Commerce, Fred Butler representing the Magnolia Center Chamber of Commerce and Cathy Brostrand representing the Hunter Park-Northside Chamber of Commerce. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for con- sideration; with the exception of the report concerning the Blue Max Restaurant which was removed to the Discussion Calendar. PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT CeIPLETION - STRATTON CENTER RESTROOM REHABILITATION In consideration of the recommendation from the Park and Recreation Department, the work of the Stratton Center restroom rehabilitation at Bordwell Park, located at 2008 Pennsyl- vania Avenue, by Coryd0n Construction, was accepted as completed; and execution of the Notice of Completion was authorized and directed. PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT COMPLETION - MINOR STREET OVERLAY 1987-88 In consideration of the recommendation from the Public Works Department, the work of con- structing minor street overlay 1987-88, located on Cypress Avenue, Van Buren Boulevard to Tyler Street; Brockton Avenue, Seventh Street to Crescent Avenue; Arapahoe Street, In- diana Avenue to Marlerie Street; Mentone Place, Arapahoe Street to the cul-de-sac; Shaw- nee Avenue, Hastcell Street to Arapahoe Street; Amber Street, Indiana Avenue to liaskell Street; Haskell Street, Marlshe Street to Arrowhead Street; Arrowhead Street, Indiana Av- enue to Indiana Avenue; and Marlerie Street, Arapahoe Street to Haskell Street; by E. L. Yeaget Construction Company, Inc., was accepted as completed; and execution of the No- tice of Completion was authorized and directed. PURCHASING SERVICES MANAGER BID N0. 4239 - CARGO VANS - PUBLIC UTILITIES DEPARTMENT, ELECTRIC DIVISION In consideration of the recommendation from the Purchasing Services Manager, the Public Utilities Department, the Fleet Management Superintendent and the Board of Public Utili- ties, the bid of DeAnza Chevrolet, in the amount of 335,806.80, was accepted for furnish- ing the Public Utilities Department, Electric Division, with three current model cargo vans. All other bids were rejected; and the Purchasing Services Manager was authorized to proceed with the purchase by Purchase Order. CITY MANAGER MUNICIPAL PROJECTS - FEBRUARY 1988 A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the Senior Administrative Assis- tant presenting information about municipal projects that will be in progress or complet- ed during the month of February 1988. The report was accepted and ordered filed.
