CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />Minutes of: <br />Date of Meeting: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />June 8, 1999 <br />9 a.m. <br />Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by Councilmember Defenbaugh. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meeting of June 1, 1999, were approved as presented; with <br />Councilmember Thompson abstaining as she was absent due to illness. <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS - CONTINUED IN PART <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge called on Park and Recreation Director Terry Nielsen who <br />requested that the Kids Tree Time Singers' presentation on keeping Riverside <br />beautiful and their appreciation of Riverside's tree heritage be continued. <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge called on Councilmember Beaty who introduced Ana Stover, <br />Principal of Fremont Elementary School. Ms. Stover introduced Linda Lindgren <br />and Terry Lowery, Third and Fifth Grade classroom teachers; Debbie Newton, <br />G.A.T.E. Program Coordinator; and students responsible for the Alphabet Riverside <br />History book presented to the Mayor and City Council and the Governor's Quilt <br />that has been signed by every governor in the country. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for <br />consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to <br />each item. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />ZONING CASE CU-012-634 (REV.) - 1290 VIA PINTADA <br />The City Council upheld the Planning Commission's action in approving subject to <br />conditions the request of Joe A.
