I ' I ,COMPLETION - TRAFFIC SIGNALS & LIGHTING - UNIVERSITY AVENUE & U.C.R. ENTRANCE ROAD �^ :In consideration of the recommendation from the Traffic Divi- : :sion of the Public Works Department, the installation of traf- : fic signals and lighting system on University Avenue and U.C.R.1 Entrance Road, by Smith Electric Supply, was accepted as ccm- : 1pleted; and execution of the Notice of Completion was author - sized and directed. I I : 'BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES ' I ' rCOMFLETION - STREET LIGHT PROSECT 10 - LOOP ELECTRIC ' 1 'In consideration of the recommendation from the Board of Public :Utilities, the installation of ornamental street light systems in Wards 6 and 7, for Street Light Project 10, by Loop Electric! I Inc., was accepted as completed; and execution of the Notice of Completion was authorized and directed. I '.PURCHASING AND STORES MANAGER ' 1 r ' (BIDS - STREET LIGHT PROJECT 13 - WARDS 3, 4, 5 AND 6 In consideration of the recommendation'from the Purchasing and IStorea Manager, the bid of the Paul Gardner Corporation, in the! �:amount of $373,748.00, was accepted for furnishing all labor, : materials and equipment for the construction of ornamental (street light systems in portions of Wards 3, 4, 5 and 6, for :Street Light Project 13; all other bids were rejected, and the bonds submitted with said rejected bids were released from fur-: Ither liability; the City Attorney was requested to prepare the I :necessary contract; and execution of the said contract was au- I Ithorized and directed upon approval by the City Attorney of they I:performance bonds required in connection therewith. : ' 1 ' CITY MANAGER ' I 1 I :FIRE CADET PROGRAM - CONTRACT WITH HRD 1A written report was submitted by the City Manager recommending !approval of a contract by and between the State of California 1, :through its Department of Human Resources Development and the I City of Riverside, for a period of one year, January I to De- Icember 31, 1972, which calls for a payment of $15,259.12 (through the WIN Program funds to assist in financing the Fire ! Cadet Program, and further recommending that the City Manager : Ibe authorized to execute the grant contract; whereupon, the : :recommendations were approved as submitted.
