Morriston, of the <br />Riverside Free Methodist Church. <br />jThe Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br />!MINUTES <br />!The Minutes of the Meeting of August 25, 1970, were approved as <br />:submitted. <br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of George <br />Osborn representing the Arlington Chamber of Commerce and <br />Woody Wade representing the Riverside and Is Sierra Chambers of <br />Motion. <br />Second <br />All Ayes I <br />CITY MANAGER <br />1 I <br />s TEMPORARY TENT FOR EVANGELISTIC MEETINGS - LINCOLN & MADISON <br />!A request was presented from The Fellcwship to erect a tent on j <br />!the corner of Madison Street and Lincoln Avenue, for evangelis-I <br />:tic meetings to be held for approximately one month, commencing! <br />!September 3, 1970, and ending September 30, 1970; together with! <br />is written report from the City Managerrecommending the ap- I <br />sprovalof the request subject to "The Fellowship" complying ! <br />:with the requirements established by the administration and ob-i <br />staining, the required permits from the Fire Department and the I <br />,Building Inspection Division; whereupon, the request was I <br />Motion <br />!granted subject to the conditions as recommended by the City ! <br />Second <br />!Manager. ! <br />All Ayes <br />!AGREEMENT EXTENSION - RIVERSIDE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE <br />:The City Manager presented the written request of the Riversidel <br />!Chamber of Commerce 'co extend the 1969-70 Agreement until a new! <br />Motion <br />!contract is completed, approved by the City Council and exe- <br />Second <br />scuted; whereupon, the request was granted as presented. ! <br />All Ayes <br />I I <br />:Counci.lman Sotelo entered at this time. ! <br />1 I <br />!CITY PLANNING COMMISSION - BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENT ! <br />I I <br />1APPEAL - TRACT 4121 - BET. LINCOLN & VICTORIA SWLY OF ANNA : <br />!An appeal was presented from Mr. Ivar Lovret of certain im- ! <br />sprovement requirements on Victoria Avenue required in connec- ! <br />!tion with Tract 4121, covering property situated between Lin- ! <br />leoln Avenue and Victoria Avenue southwesterly of Anna Street; I <br />!together with a communication from the City Planning Commission! <br />!advising the City Council that, on July 23, 1970, the Commis- I <br />,sion, by a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes, approved the tentative maps <br />sof Tract 4121, subject to the recommendations of the Subdivi- ! <br />ssion Committee, which included improvements on Victoria Avenue.! <br />!Mr. Lovret answered questions from the City Council and com- I <br />lmented on his proposal to waive the sidewalk requirement and ! <br />!install a berm rather than curbs and gutters. Following dis- I <br />Icussion, the Developer's proposal was accepted to eliminate thei <br />!sidewalk, and accept the dedication of the additional 23 feet; ! <br />!that the question of the paving and berm be worked out in an ! <br />!equitable manner by the Public Works Department with a report <br />!back to the City Council at the time of the hearing on the zon-! <br />ling case, it being the understanding of the City Council the I <br />X <br />i <br />
