CODE OF ETHICS AND CONDUCT <br />ADJUDICATING BODY <br />FRIDAY, AUGUST 22, 2014, 3 P.M. <br />MAYOR'S CEREMONIAL ROOM <br />MINUTES <br />PRESENT: Chair David Barnhart and Members Thomas Riggle, Robin <br />Jackson, and Gary Christmas <br />ABSENT: Members Art Angel and Leonard Doup <br />STAFF PRESENT: Colleen Nicol, Robert Hansen, Phil Pitchford, and Gregg Gu <br />ALSO PRESENT: Jason Hunter, Justin Scott-Coe, Susan Cash, Damien O'Farrell, <br />Susan Fahrney, Deborah Lefkowitz, Keith Nelson, Paul Chavez, <br />Aurora Chavez, Javier Moreno, Vivian Moreno, Raychele Sterling, <br />Dvonne Pitruzzello, Karin Roberts, Tom Donahue, John Brandriff, <br />and others <br />Chair Barnhart convened the Adjudicating Body at 3:01 p.m. <br />Robin Jackson and each member of the Adjudicating Body, in turn, announced for the <br />record their personal knowledge of Complainant Mr. Hunter and Mr. Scott-Coe, if any. <br />Deputy City Attorney Hansen explained the procedures to be followed for the hearing. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />Keith Nelson spoke regarding the hearing process and Adjudicating Body training. <br />Susan Fahrney, Deborah Lefkowitz, Karin Roberts, and Susan Cash spoke in support of <br />Justin Scott-Coe. Raychele Sterling spoke regarding the membership of the <br />Adjudicating Body and the hearing process. Tom Donahue spoke in support of Justin <br />Scott-Coe. Javier Moreno spoke regarding the complaint process. Vivian Moreno <br />spoke regarding the complaint process and recall. Damien O'Farrell spoke in support of <br />Justin Scott -Coe. John Brandriff spoke regarding the complaint process. <br />HEARING <br />Jason Hunter offered comments in support of the complaint. Mr. Doug Smith and Justin <br />Scott-Coe spoke in defense of Mr. Scott-Coe. Mr. Hunter, Mr. Smith, and Mr. Scott-Coe <br />accepted time for rebuttal and presented additional comments to the Adjudicating Body. <br />The Adjudicating Body recessed at 4:18 p.m. to review additional written documentation <br />presented by Mr. Hunter and reconvened at 4:27 p.m. <br />
